Le encantará nuestro pequeño y acogedor "Happy Place", escondido en el hermoso bosque de Ohia. Estamos frente al Village con sus restaurantes y el Sunday Farmers Market, y a 5 minutos del Parque Nacional de los Volcanes. ¡El hogar perfecto lejos del hogar para parejas o familias pequeñas que exploran todo el este de Hawái tiene para ofrecer!

¿Qué pasa con el volcán?
¡El parque nacional está ABIERTO y el cráter es IMPRESIONANTE! Están evaluando continuamente nuevos senderos y sitios dentro del parque y abriéndolos a los visitantes: ¡le enviaremos un mensaje antes de su estadía con lo último!

Incluso fuera del parque, ¡hay mucho por hacer! Nuestro pequeño Volcano Village es el lugar perfecto para relajarse. Ligeramente más fresco con menos humedad y sin vog, ¡es un refugio escondido en la selva! Volcano Village es un pequeño pueblo al lado de Hilo del Parque Nacional de los Volcanes. Somos una pequeña comunidad de artistas hermosa y un excelente lugar de descanso para ver el lado este de la isla con su selva tropical, jardines de orquídeas, bodegas, senderos para caminatas, mercados de agricultores, simplemente un lugar increíble. Perfectamente entre las playas de arena verde y negra, la singularidad de Pahoa y el antiguo Hawai en la ciudad de Hilo. ¡Esperamos que lo descubras por ti mismo y lo ames tanto como nosotros!

La artesanía hermosa abunda en nuestra habitación de un dormitorio (más un cómodo sofá cama), baño mejorado en la hermosa comunidad de Volcano. Desde el bar tallado hasta la chimenea de roca de lava y la bañera de hidromasaje con jacuzzi, hemos prestado atención a cada detalle. Las puertas francesas desde la sala de estar y el dormitorio le brindan una gran cantidad de vida interior / exterior. Juegue con herraduras en la parte de atrás, acomódese bajo las estrellas y disfrute de la fogata, o cree una cena gourmet para disfrutar en el lanai privado: ¡siéntase como en casa!

Volcano está a unas 2 horas del aeropuerto de Kona y a 30 minutos de Hilo. Esta es una isla grande y se requiere un coche de alquiler para aprovechar al máximo su experiencia.

En la casa, puede descansar con un libro en el lanai, jugar un juego de herraduras o calentarse bajo las estrellas al lado de la hoguera. Cuando esté listo para salir y explorar, el parque nacional está en el camino. También hay mercados de agricultores, recorridos, cafeterías, museos, e incluso puedes caminar hasta la lava que fluye hacia el océano. Absolutely loved this house. Perfect for our anniversary staycation in Volcano. From the moment we stepped into the house we felt comfortable. It has a full kitchen, huge comfortable lanai looking out at the beautiful landscaped yard and nice living room area with the fire place. The bed was comfortable with the heated mattress, the bathroom was clean an stocked with towels. It was a quick drive to the Volcano National Park and an easy drive to Hilo. We would definitely stay here again.

A great unit super convenient to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Less than 10 min. from the park so when we heard the volcano was erupting we could head over quickly. Also, not a bad drive to Hilo area attractions. The place was set up great and had everything we needed. Loved having meals out on the lanai, listening to the frogs and other rainforest critters. The owners were super responsive when we had one small issue. The cats welcoming us home after our daily adventures kept us from getting to homesick for our pets. We will highly recommend to friends and also colleagues that visit the area regularly working on wildlife conservation projects.

This bungalow is perfection. It is super clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the fire place in the living room came in handy on chilly nights. The house has everything you need but the stand out feature is the outdoor space. The porch was a great place to relax after a day of hiking, and is accessible from the living room and the bedroom. The yard has a fire pit (which we did not use) but used the seating to lounge in the sun. The location is just 5 minutes from Volcanos National Park. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze. We appreciated having our own covered car park at the foot of the front door which made loading/unloading the car super easy. This place will not disappoint. It is absolutely excellent and I highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful time in Volcano Village. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything one might need. It’s hard to beat the location within minutes of the National Park. We enjoyed breakfast on the covered porch that allowed us to enjoy the gorgeous setting even on rainy mornings.

Was a nice enough place, if a bit cluttered, and a bit small for a family, but we booked last minute. Comms were good and check-in was easy enough. A good option for small groups looking to stay near the NP.

The house is lovely, though a bit tricky to find. We arrived after dark - missed flight and delays - and the streets in Volcano have no lights. Driving in the pitch black can make finding the property tricky despite having being sent directions by the host.Lucretia & Mark are amazing. I fell sick with the flu wile staying and they gave me info on an urgent care place (East Hawaii Health Clinic at Keaau - 30 minute drive from Volcano) that helped put me on the mend over the weekend. I would recommend staying here if visiting Volcano. The house is gorgeous and besides my flu, the family had an enjoyable (and rest imposed) stay. I would stay again.Tips - Avoid Ohelo Cafe - they let a couple of Caucasian males who arrived after us at 6:35PM dine-in while declining our family of 4 who had arrived at 6:30PM. We tried calling ahead around 4:30PM to reserve/book and no calls were answered. We got some take-away as nothing else was open and the alternative was to go hungry.Eagle's Lighthouse Cafe makes great sandwiches and cinnamon rolls! We bought our lunches here, and dinners from Thai Thai Bistro & Bar.

Hau’oli place is incredible! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and didn’t want to leave. The property is obviously well cared for. The decorations are fun and add to the experience. (Our daughter, age 8, loved the tiki doing the shakas.) The location is so close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park that it is convenient to come and go as you please and enjoy the whole experience.

The little tiki cottage was fantastic! Can’t say enough about the location (super close to Volcanoes Nat’l Park entrance), the backyard, and the character of the house. A perfect quiet place to serve as basecamp for our big island adventure. Worked great for our family of 4 but would be really good for a couple or solo traveler as well. Hosts are super communicative and welcoming. Thank you so much! Would definitely stay here again.

This place was easy to find as per the host msg. We checked in quite late around 8 ish night. The cleaning was poorly done Bathroom, furniture, refrigerator, floor, porch, dining area outside, microwave etc after long flight and rainy travel day we did not care and next day we cleaned things ourselves because we had to start our planned trip as we were in Hilo for 2 nights only. For next day morning the kitchen stuff was missing like coffee and sugar etc. in-fact coffee machine was not cleaned as well. The inside dining chairs are so uncomfortable that it was hard to have dinner and breakfast with kids. Outside dining was not an option because of cold and porch was not cleaned as well. After long hike day we thought to reach out to host and msg him. He offer us re cleaning while we occupied the unit or leave one day early and refund one night stay. I am not comfortable with first option and for second option, People pre-planned vacations, last minute reservation doesn’t work in Hawaii. We asked him to refund partially as accommodation seems to very overpriced in terms of services, fees what they charge to guest. He did not responded after that. We won’t recommend this place, you can get better services and accommodation in the similar rates in the same area.

Hau’oli Place was a real gem in a calm and quiet environment, which was just what I wanted in a place to stay. The cottage was so clean, much cleaner than the Marriott we stayed in the night before, and so well outfitted - everything was there that you could think of. The bed was very comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was a treat and the lanai was a place I could hang out all day enjoying the rainforest landscaping. I only wish we had more time there! If you are coming to Hawaii to see the volcano area, you can’t do better than this place!

What a wonderful place and great experience staying Hau'oli Place! The cottage was quiet, private, very clean, and well stocked which made it so easy for us to settle in. All the furniture was very comfortable, too. The Hawaiian and Tiki artwork, collections, and decorations added lots of character. The long lanai on the side of the cottage was a great place to relax, greet the morning sun with a coffee, or have an outdoor meal. The grounds were well-maintained and gorgeous; the rain forest trees and plants attracted many birds, which we enjoyed listening to in the morning and late afternoon. The gas fireplace and electric blanks were welcome amenities as we had several chilly evenings. We took advantage of the location to visit Volcano Garden Arts and Ono Cafe, Volcano Winery, Ka’u Coffee, and hike Volcano National Park which was only 5 minutes away. Mark and Lucretia, the hosts, were very responsive and great at communicating with us ahead of time; they provided helpful information about places to visit, local events, and dining options in the Volcano area. Our 5-night stay was too short! Hopefully we can return in the future. We highly recommend Hau'oli Place!

We had given up on VRBO - all the places we have stayed are dingy and old and not clean. This absolutely stunning home is perfection. It was so clean, every little deatil was so incredibly thoughtful from the heated mattress, to the extra blankets, to the carport, the outside firepit (on immaculately groomed landscaping), all the kitchen equipment.... I could go on. Every time we turned around, we discovered another sweet little thought. We arrived in the late evening and all the lights were turned on inside so it was so inviting to come inside. There were thoughtful little itineraries, things to do, books to read..... And the bed was so so comfy! THANK YOU! We will probably never stay at another VRBO as you have spoiled us too much!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this cute cottage. Again, we found it to be clean and well set up for our 3-nite stay during the Christmas Holidays. As before, there were thoughtful details that we appreciated such as extra throws for warmth on chilly nights, an easy to operate gas fireplace, a comfy bed with heated mattress pad, etc. White, fluffy towels were provided and the bathroom still smelled freshly cleaned when we arrived. We also enjoy the nicely positioned lanai with table, chairs and BBQ grill. The yard behind the cottage is lovely and the owner is planting bamboo along another boundary that was recently buldozed. We had a small struggle with figuring out the TV and cable situation, but the manager, Mark, quickly responded with assistance. All in all, a wonderful holiday get away for us. Mahalo!

Very cute place, full of tiki stuff. Large backyard area, beautifully landscaped. Well supplied kitchen. It gets COLD in Volcano at night. This place has a heater in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, and one in the living room plus a fireplace. We were always comfortable, would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed multiple places in Volcano over the last 10 years. This is one of the best for the price. It has a nice, full kitchen, beautiful lanai and is in close proximity to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We enjoyed several nights out by the fire pit, but also relaxed on the lanai, eating most of our meals there.

We stayed just one night and wished it could be longer. The cottage is nestled in a quiet area just minutes from the National Park. The place is cozy, intensely furnished, and clean. I most enjoyed sipping a glass of provided wine on the extensive veranda overlooking the jungle-like property. Our only question was the inability to find a pot holder or oven mitt (and we didn't feel like bothering the owners over something that trivial). We would stay again.

We loved Hau'oli Place! It is well cared for, has a gorgeous porch and yard. We ate our meals on the porch, serenaded by birds and coqui. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, beautiful fireplace ( which we used!) Mark was great at communicating with us ahead of time, and very responsive. Located only 5 minutes from the park entrance. Stay a few nights, there is so much to explore. Stop at the hilo farmers market on your way in, stock up and stay a while!

My husband and I stayed for a few nights and the property was so peaceful! We loved relaxing here and all the amenities were great. Our flight was delayed upon arrival and the hosts were very understanding and flexible about the check in process. We will be staying again!

Wish we could have stayed longer! This home was special in every way! We spent a lot of time on the lanai with the string lights. Kitchen was well stocked, mattress very comfortable, and great location!

We enjoyed a very cozy and comfortable stay. The property is stylishly decorated and well appointed, a comfortable place to relax after a long day walking in the National Park. It felt special to be here.

We stayed at 5 vacation rentals on our recent trip to HI and this place was by far our favorite. The location is very peaceful and relaxing. We absolutely loved hanging out on the porch and listening to the rain and the wildlife. This home has some very unique decorations and well thought out amenities that made our stay in Volcano extra special. Would love to return again. Highly recommend.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed . Very quite area and the hosts were very nice. We stayed for 2 weeks while working /playing . would recommend this home.
