Quien sabía que este tipo de relajación era posible, su propia casa de campo privada francesa que se siente como si estuviera a un millón de millas de distancia, pero la civilización está a solo unos minutos. Esta casa independiente de 950 pies cuadrados es adecuada para 1 a 2 personas que buscan privacidad y lujo. Desde encimeras de mármol hasta arte personalizado, pisos y muebles, sentirá que está rodeado de lo mejor de todo. La cocina totalmente equipada incluye todo lo que necesitará para preparar una comida gourmet mientras disfruta del hermoso panorama de la costa oeste desde las grandes ventanas de su cocina. Perfect getaway
This place was incredible! It’s close enough to Victoria for convenience but far enough to feel like a peaceful escape. Nestled in the woods, it offers the perfect sense of seclusion. I’m definitely coming back!

Oasis in the woods
This cottage is accurately described & shown in the photographs. Kathleen was lovely to communicate with, considerate and responsive. A lot of time & attention has been spent to ensure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. This was very much appreciated. The quality of workmanship, furnishings and decor is above the standard we have experienced in high end hotels/rentals. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area; hikes, beaches, farms plus sidney and Victoria should you choose. The joy is returning to the cottage after a day of exploring to the peace & tranquility of the cottage grounds. The energy in the surrounding forest is palpable. If you are thinking of booking don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing woodland retreat!
We just returned from staying in Kat’s Cottage for five nights while visiting family. Every detail has been thought of and executed with style and sense of place. The cottage’s location can’t be beat, close to attractions and points of interest and an oasis to which you can retreat at the end of the day. The owners were communicative and helpful before, during, and after our visit. Would highly recommend, and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful Cottage Getaway!
The property and the cottage was absolutely amazing! We didn't want to leave. The view from every direct was relaxing. We enjoyed morning coffee outside on the front porch. Lovely Very Clean Secluded Cottage
Great location and private setting. We were there 16 days. All kitchen utensils, many spices, cooking oil, appliances all in good shape. Some technical things: There were only two operated/screened windows on the same wall so no flow-through ventilation was possible. (we bought a fan) Bathroom shower has a low curb that extends into the middle of the room; it's odd and dangerous! Almost seriously injured myself tripping on it the first night. But after once, I didn't do it any more! In spite of the design issues, we will definitely book again.

A beautiful cottage in a magical setting
The cottage is stunning and the woodland setting beyond gorgeous. We were visiting Victoria for a few days and wanted a quiet and peaceful setting. This cottage surpassed our expectations, only a short 30 minute drive to the city, while feeling like it is a million miles away. It’s everything you can imagine!!
The cottage was gorgeous, well appointed with everything you need. The backdrop of the woods makes it a special experience. Butchart Gardens are 5 minutes away. We loved spending the day in Victoria, then heading out of town to escape the crowds. It’s about 10 miles from Victoria.

Magical
This authentic European style cottage is exactly how the listing details. Every detail of the cottage was first class. The property surrounding the cottage is forested and extremely quiet. This was a restful way to wind down and get in touch with nature. Oh and the cottage is appointed by original artwork.

You can’t beat aces!
From beginning to end this was a remarkable holiday rental. The peaceful woodsy setting and beautiful cottage were enhanced by ease of entry and the host’s caring communication throughout. If one wants town temptations Sidney and Victoria are but a short drive away. Rentals don’t get better than this. Hated to leave but plan to return. A slice of heaven
Cottage is exactly as described if not better. Kitchen is well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was a dream. Even watched 2 dvds while away. Our stay was cut short by weather mishaps and i truly would have relished an extra day. Close proximity to Victoria, Sydney, hikes, kayaking, the Butchart Gardens, wine and so much more. If we didnt live so far away, i would go back in the next month or two. A plus

Great little weekend getaway!
This little cottage was perfectly isolated from the world, yet close to amenities. The hosts provided great suggestions for local hikes and restaurants. The home was beautifully kept and the kitchen was more than expected for a Vrbo. The countless movie selection and fireplace made the evenings perfect.

Fairy Tale-like Luxury French Cottage with Incredible Host
Kat’s Cottage: What an incredible combination: a very comfortable fairy-tale-like cottage in a lovely, forested setting, a gracious hostess who had anticipated and provided for our every need or desire, and a great location, very close to world renowned attractions, yet an easy drive to downtown Victoria. This has to be a 5* Vrbo property all around! The cottage has large windows in every direction to enjoy the beautiful setting comprised of natural forest and many potted plants, lots of outdoor seating, a quality grill, and an abundance of nature. It is comfortably furnished and has a great selection of movies and music available for the guests' enjoyment, lots of storage and a kitchen that most of us would dream of having in our primary residence, let alone a vacation home. The host, Kathleen, is a talented artist who has used that talent to tastefully design and furnish the cottage. Many of her own original works are on display in the cottage. She has also provided a notebook with recommendations for restaurants, farm markets, and grocery stores in the area. If you are fortunate enough to be able to book Kat’s Cottage for your stay (and it must be very much in demand), be sure to visit some of the following attraction right in the area: 1. Butchart Gardens (a 55 acre exquisitely designed and maintained flower garden), 2. The Butterfly Gardens, 3. Heritage Acres and 4. Vancouver Island Model Engineers, a steam-driven model railroad (big boys and their toys).

The cottage is simply delightful. The owners are artists, and it’s beautifully done. The kitchen was one of the most well-stocked we have ever seen. Really loved our stay! Would definitely book again.

Great cottage
If you are looking for a place that is away from all of the other tourists but still close to Victoria and Sidney, this is the perfect spot. Very close to Butchart Gardens and a short drive from the two cities, this was great. My only small suggestion would be to add screens to the windows in order to open them at night to cool the house down and so no mosquitos can get in.

Much needed break. Peaceful and beautiful.
Delightful French cottage in the woods on the Saanich Peninsula. Everything you need is in Brentwood Bay (5 minutes) Our favorite town was Sidney-by-the-Sea. The property is exceptional. If you are looking for views and ocean air, this is not it. If you are looking for forest, privacy, and refined rustic luxury, you will love this place. We had nesting birds, a doe and two fawns, a buck in velvet, and other critters within 10 feet. Really. And yes, we will likely return.
