Charming 3-bedroom house in Trout Lake close to trails & lakes.

  • If you are planning a trip to Trout Lake to enjoy the lakes, trails and adventure, this charming cottage is your perfect getaway. 3 large bedrooms sleep 8 comfortably, 2 with queen beds and 1 bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds. Enjoy this great space to gather with a large open concept main floor featuring a large dining table, well equipped kitchen and a bright and cozy living room. There is a full bathroom and a convenient half bath. We provide a full size washer and dryer for your stay and a lovely deck with a grill and dining set for your outdoor enjoyment. Sit around the fire in the backyard and make your adventure plans under the stars. This is our first season hosting this property so once the weather allows us to get the yard cleaned up and the outdoor areas set up I will be adding more photos.

Small home right in the town of Trout Lake. Very clean & well stocked. We were there to ride sidesides, very close to trails. The property needs more screens on windows. Owner is aware of this & is working on it. We had a very good experience.

Property was perfectly located near the trails, rooms were adequate and nice. House had been redone recently and very clean. Everthing we needed for a great stay in the snowy north!

The house needs work on the outside, but they had clearly done nice updates on the inside. The main problem was the temperature outside was very hot during our stay. They only had one AC unit on the main floor, but the upstairs (where two of the bedrooms are) was very hot. There was no screen in the upstairs bedroom with the larger bed, so we couldn't let the cooler night air in as we slept. The town of Trout Lake is very little. If you want to eat at the restaurants in town, know that the kitchens close by 7 pm.Communication with the host was great. We really appreciated the flavored creamer and the coffee that was available to us! Towels and bedding and kitchen supplies, along with laundry was all just as we expected. Internet worked great. Overall, the house met our needs for our vacation.

Our family stayed for a long weekend. We had a great time. The house is roomy and very nicely furnished. The kitchen was a pleasant surprise - it was very well stocked with pots and pans, appliances and dishes. So, if you like to make your own meals, you will enjoy this kitchen away from home. Just as a heads up - the stairs and the beds are very squeaky, so if you are sensitive to that, you might have issues. Both bathrooms are on the first floor. And they don’t lock, neither do any of the rooms. Again, if that’s important for you, it’s something to consider. Other than that, the house is perfect for a big family or group of friends. A great bonus is that it is pet friendly.

We had a good experience

The property, situated about an hour from several enjoyable attractions in the north, is in excellent condition. The host was incredibly responsive to our inquiries, making our stay truly enjoyable. We would definitely like to return in the future! However, we would appreciate it if they had a water softener to eliminate the tanin smell from the water.

Nice house

We enjoyed our stay. Very cute. Love the decorations and colors. Only suggestion would be more toliet paper. Had to go buy more toliet paper and hand soap. lol. Close to popular attractions.

We had a great weekend staying at the home in Trout Lake. It’s a short walk to the restaurants and town tavern. The grocery store is only a few doors down from the home which is very convenient. The home was very comfortable and we definitely enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. Close proximity to the trail network and lake make this a great place to stay when visiting the U.P. The host Julie was easy to communicate with and we would definitely stay here again when in the area.
