"This apartment is located close to everything. It is comfortable and charming place. Some routine maintenance does need to happen (fixing the broken curtain rod so it doesn’t fall apart when trying to close the curtain for example). It was a very enjoyable stay."

"Staying in a jellybean house was on our wish-list for my first trip to St. John’s. This charming home, main floor + lower level (where the washroom is), was well-equipped with a full kitchen, laundry, and a lovely backyard with string lights (nice touch!). And excellent coffee (important!). Exploring the neighbourhood was fun (we learned o zig-zag!) and downtown/harbour are a close walk away."

"We loved everything about it and very welcoming having a dish washer and washer and dryer available. So easy to walk downtown as well. So nice to stay in such a unique place as how famous the colourful row house are. "

"The neighbourhood is in need of serious renovation compared to other districts in St. John’s. The apartment also needs overhaul. Everything is substandard. It's dark. Various minor repairs are required. Decoration and furniture are old-fashioned and have no charm. Even towels are frayed and gray from overwashing. It is not a place where one feels at home. We ended up leaving after just one night. We asked for a partial refund to no avail."

"All in all a great stay. Very unique being a "jellybean" house. The floors were quite slanted which just added to the charm. The host was very responsive, the parking for intercity was fantastic. Both bedrooms were large. Barndoors upstairs saved a ton of space as the hallway was quite narrow. We were four and there were only 3 coffee cups, 3 wine glasses and 3 dinner forks. Fortunately only 3 drank wine and only 2 had coffee but it could be a problem for other folks. When we mentioned...

"There was not anything I needed that I couldn't find.. everything from extra pens, to lightbulbs. Our host thought about everything to make staying here comfortable. A bonus for me were the extra blankets and towels which were much needed, given that it was 3 adults and 2 kids which stayed. The location was perfect as well, as it was within walking distance to lots of food places and gifts shops. I would recommend this place to anyone thinking about staying here."

"We stayed for two nights - fabulous! The location of the apartment is perfect to access the sights of St. John's. There is also a parking spot behind the building which was essential for us. This apartment is well stocked with everything you could ever think you would need - host is very thoughtful. This is a VERY clean 2 bedroom and we found ourselves very comfortable during our stay. Thank you Janine for hosting such a beautiful apartment."
