SKYLIGHT COTTAGE Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in a cozy atmosphere of west coast cottage charm. Enjoy the cedar-canopied hot tub on the brand-new deck and let the natural light fill the space while you relax and decompress among the surrounding trees. Unwind after a day of adventure at the beach with the perfect tranquil retreat.

**Please note: The cottage has only one full bathroom with a shower/bathtub. If you're booking for a group of six, please ensure you're comfortable with this setup.

Host Rules:
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 25 years or older to book
Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.
During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments.
3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays
Pet Policy: 2 dog max and must be owner approved plus paid for before arrival. Sorry no cats!
Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws
Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Cancellation Policy
• 30-day notice required for a full refund.
• Cancellations within the 30 days: Non-refundable.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

We had an amazing time at skylight cottage. The house is wonderful and the hot tub is just amazing. The only thing that stood out to us as maybe needing some attention was the dining room chairs. The fake leather was starting to peel and was making a mess in the floor.

Check in was easy and the messaging very helpful. The kitchen was great and we cooked each evening. Only siggestion is to check numbers of bowls, glasses etc to check there are sufficient for the number pf guests (eg there were only 4 bowls, perhaps because of previous breakages?)

Wonderful house in the woods

This is a great house from which to explore Tofino. We enjoyed the quietness of the property. The house is nicely laid out, cozy and clean. The kids enjoyed the hot tub.

Wonderful Property with a couple of minor issues...

We had an amazing time here. But, there were a few negatives... Positives: The house is lovely and the perfect size for 4 adults. The kitchen was well-appointed and the hot tub and outdoor shower were magical ways to finish the day after hiking and copious amounts of exploring! The location was very handy to the brewery and distillery and a great takeaway window (Soul). Needs work: The 2 main beds are both very soft, lumpy and uneven, so, if you're used to sleeping on something like an endy mattress (as we are)... you'll likely not enjoy sleeping in either of them. The entertainment area is quite outdated as well... the TV and sound are substandard for what you might find these days... the Bluetooth speaker is cheap and sounds awful (if you can get it to work), there is no sound bar and the TV is tiny. We opted for the 15-inch computer to watch a movie before bed as it sounded better... This was by no means a big issue for us, as the sun shined every day and we were out enjoying every minute of it, but, I could see this bothering anyone up there in storm season looking to decompress with a movie or show. These things being said, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, the management checked on us daily to make sure we had everything we needed and we love to spend some more time in the hot tub :). 100% we would recommend!

A little piece of paradise

Beautiful and private location in the trees. Quick drive to town and beaches, easy walking distance of the brewery and distillery. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space (hottub, firepit, etc.) Very cozy inside, love the wood detailing/skylights and the soaps provided smell divine. Hosts were responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great little cottage!

We had a great stay here. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, minus the hot tub that needed a bit of extra care. The manager had it taken care of quickly and we were very happy with everything else. Great location, and comfortable for the group of 5 we had. Well-equipped kitchen. They thought of everything. Would definitely stay again.

Great house walking distance to Mackenzie Beach and Tofino

Skylight cottage is a light and airy, well equipped 3 bedroom house about 2 km from Tofino. We loved being able to walk to the beach from the house and being walking distance to Tofino. The hot tub was a nice bonus and the outdoor shower would be great for surfers . Tofino was under water restrictions so we didn’t use the outdoor shower when we were there. You can also walk to a coffee shop and the famous Tacofino from the house. The check in and check out process was easy and we loved our stay. Hire some bikes and ride the bike path right past the house. Thanks!
