"My friend and I stayed here for a girls' weekend. Although the weather was snow/icy and cold, there was plenty to do in the area. The home alone was enough for us to stay warm and comfortable in. "This was our second stay at this lovely house on the river. We had 6 adults plus our dogs, so we were thrilled to find a place to accommodate such a large group. Enjoyed the front porch overlooking the river, which was big enough for all of us to use at once, and made use of the back patio with grill. Many charming antiques throughout the house and a beautiful (and large) hand made dining room table. We brought several kayaks and really enjoyed the river. Lisa was the best - very quick to reply...

"Good value for the size of the place and centrally located. The AC was not the best, and may have been competing with the heat put out by the pilot light on the heater. Could use some ceiling fans in the bedrooms... maybe bring your own fan, as the bedrooms have no windows. Clean and has most everything else for a comfortable stay. It's on the 3rd floor, so you if you have any mobility issues, this could be a negative. Hosts were pleasant and available."

"We came to the little cabin in the woods with the intention to bird watch but the weather didn't cooperate. Instead we stayed in and played the games of our childhood (Clue, Battleship, Chinese Checkers, Yatzee) while listening to the music of our youth on Direct TV! Thanks for providing us with great distractions that helped us get over our disappointment in not being able to bird watch! The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed and forgot...like toothpaste! Many thanks!"
