"If you like a real log fire on a cold night, cosy and clean accommodation, charming hosts and a good hearty breakfast, this is the place for you! Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to get a real feel and understanding of the local area. The garden is a real treat! "

"Loved our stay at here, staff were very welcoming and helpful and patient with our young Vizsla dog. Ideal set up for staying with a dog, with rooms located opposite site of the car park to the cosy pub. Food was excellent. Definitely would come and stay here again. "

"Everything about this ‘stately home’ hotel states luxury and first class service, from the amazing, unique approach road through a rock bridge, to the extensive landscaped grounds which are a delight to explore and are up to national arboretum standards. "Brilliant Pub, Amazing staff and Stunning Surroundings. We only stayed for 2 nights but would of loved to stay longer. Staff were attentive and welcoming. We were very impressed by our room which was extremely spacious with a large shower room and even a sauna in the room. Our Bed was so comfy and the pub was full of friendly locals. "Overall we enjoyed our stay. The spa facilities were fantastic however when we arrived we were informed it was open till 10pm. We assumed this was for the whole of the weekend stay however when we went on the 2nd day they were closing. The breakfast was amazing couldn't fault anything. The room was an executive room. It was comfortable but required refreshing as paint was stained. We would return "

"Comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Good food available in the evening and good selection of cereals, cheese, pastries etc for breakfast. Expedia appeared to have messed up the booking but the hotel was flexible in accommodating us and finding a room."

"Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs.
