A well designed hotel with great bar/lounging areas and gardens, spacious rooms with sea views, beach access and use of the nearby gym. Excellent food and cocktails - really looked forward to our breakfast with eggs of choice and platters of fresh fruit. The fine dining restaurant was great, and we also had one of the best dinner buffets I’ve eaten (although it’s hard to get a buffet ‘atmospheric’). Only gripe about facilities would be the wifi - it was difficult to get through a Zoom without freezing a couple of times. Most of the staff go out of their way to please: great room cleaning/turndown service (love the chocolates on the bed). However, we had come from Lani’s down the road where we had been spoilt rotten - one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to - so Fariones grated a bit with its rules. Some are fine: I understand having a dress code in the restaurant. Others seem pointless: a party of 4, we were not allowed to take a bottle of water from the breakfast buffet so had to collect 4 glasses. I understand having a dedicated smoking area well away from the main pool and bar area, but why not have let us take our bar food down there so we don’t require two tables - one in the bar and one in the smoking area. And 5:30pm seems about 3 hours too early to close off the jacuzzis. On the whole, an amazing hotel and we loved our time here - hopefully they will relax a bit once they’ve been open longer (and upgrade their WiFi).
