"The location on playa negra is amazing, but it was the staff that really made Banana Azul shine! Genesis, Laura, and Oscar, and the rest of the crew were always happy to help us, and the deep tissue beach massage from Michelle was perfect! We would certainly return to Banana Azul!"

"Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was friendly. Good parking possibilities. The only negative was that they did not serve any food (except breakfast) and that the roof made a lot of noise when it was raining (there are some kind of plastic protection on the roof of the room which make the rain sound a lot, hard to sleep without earplugs). "this is such a beautiful space with kind and courteous staff. The resort is so serene and beautiful, and rich with wild costa rican nature. Just the occasional inconsistencies with the cleanliness of the floors, and odors in the room, that could be resolved with more attention to cleaning and by providing air fresheners - that was my only critique. As the resort is often fully booked because it's truly a gem."

"The property is a mini animal sanctuary, with many agouti running around and sloths hanging in the trees. Many birds and frogs and even a kinkajou, although hard to spot. The hosts are very nice and helpful, Marise will make sure you and comfortable and Pierre will tell you all about the wildlife. "It’s a family run business and the owner was super nice and helpful , the property was peaceful , the only noise was the wild animals on the property like howler monkeys and lots of exotic bird species , the owner prepared a papaya from the tree right in front of our room , it was delicious. I would recommend this property for people that want a truly Costa Rican experience without all the crowds of the towns . Loved our stay at Casa Conley 10 out of 10 , can’t wait to visit again ✌"

"Great lodges, with great beds and clean. Loved the screen concept so you can hear nature (birds, howling monkeys) without the bugs (not really a lot around).
