"Pros: staff was kind and bagels and coffee in the morning were nice since you pay the $30 fee at the property. Clean. I thought the room was an ok size for NYC. Cons: my AC unit was very loud and the sheets were very starched/scratchy so it was difficult to get a good night of sleep."

"Property is close to all the relevant attractions but far enough away to be nice and quiet at night. Easy to access public transportation. Food ordered and served was good. Rooftop Spyglass Bar is just OK other than the view of the Empire State bldg which is outstanding. Room I had was small, had limited soundproofing, and had a loud and obtrusive HVAC system. Overall it was acceptable but I would stay elsewhere next time I need to be in midtown."

"Great price for a great location! I can't believe I was two blocks from MSG during the NBA playoffs and an easy walk to Times Square for World Cup festivities, and around the corner from the ACE trains. This hotel packs quite a bit into its narrow footprint, and seems well kept and contemporary. I felt welcomed by the staff and enjoyed the free popcorn. The room was compact, perfectly comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for all the goings-on outside. I would stay there again."

"Made the mistake of going to the Fairfield on E36th, just south of our actual hotel on 40th. The one on 36th, is one of the nicest, coolest lobbies, we've seen. Hot! The two hotels are close enough, that it wasn't that big of a deal and again, my fault. We get to the other hotel"

"This is a solid hotel with some quirks you should be aware of. The layout is inefficient, with restaraunts/bar, check in, and the general store on the 8th floor with a klunky elevator system. It takes a while to navigate how busy the common areas are, and simply getting to your room can take a while. It has several convention spaces, so the foot traffic is intense.
