Mold which ruined our stay
The second day, my daughter got sick -so sick that she stayed in her room alone for close to three days thinking she had COVID. However, when we left on Saturday, she felt much better a couple of hours after being out of the house and shortly after returning again felt ill. We couldn’t use the upstairs bathroom because the sink was clogged (with hair) and wouldn’t drain and we had already cleaned out the shower drain and refused to clean another. We instead used the bathroom downstairs, which smelled very musty/moldy. After investigating, we found lots of black MOLD in the washer. As a result, no one used the 1st floor bedroom and my daughter and her friend had to sleep on our bedroom floor. We did not use the first-floor bathroom or bedroom, the washer/dryer, or even the family room for the rest of our stay. I called the property manager and no one called us back.
Minor - Trash Bins full on arrival (although trash pick-up was day prior). Neighbor's dog repeatedly urinated and pooed on our walkway - once on our entry mat. We spoke with the neighbor about it twice and it still happened a third time. Not to mention that there was construction next door that ran from 7 am to 3 Monday through Saturday.
No Microwave - inconvenient and odd. No beach towels at a house 5 minutes walk from the beach.
In response to our concerns, we were offered a 10% discount if booked directly with L’Abdoe Accommodations; a promotion we have previously received when everything went great!
