The Space:
Escape to the sandy shores of Shelly Beach and experience this unique seaside retreat, where the beach is steps away, family is welcomed and sea breezes are abundant. With five charming bedrooms, this retro three-story home is designed for families and groups will quickly feel like your home away from home. Whether you take a dip in the ocean or relax at the house with three balconies, three living areas, one featuring a fireplace and bar, you’ll find endless ways to unwind.
The open-plan living and dining area is perfect for accommodating large families or groups of friends, offering both indoor and outdoor dining for six, plus a BBQ. The kitchen is thoughtfully tucked away, complete with a serving window ideal for taking meals straight to the dining table. It’s fully equipped with all the essential appliances, utensils, and ample bench space. Choose to unwind in the living area, featuring a large smart TV and a cosy sofa, or relax in the main living area, complete with two comfortable sofas, a fireplace, and a bar. Outside of the home, you’ll find a spacious front garden, while the back offers a smaller grassy area that is perfect for pets.

Level 2:
Master Bedroom:
This seaside master bedroom boasts stunning ocean views, a private balcony and a high vaulted ceiling. It features a comfortable king bed, an AC unit, fan, a smart TV (apps only), a wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom.
Bathroom 1 (ensuite):
Features a shower, toilet and vanity.
Bedroom 2:
The charming second bedroom features a plush queen-sized bed, AC unit, high ceilings and a vintage wardrobe.
Bedroom 3:
The third upstairs bedroom has high vaulted ceilings for a spacious feel and includes a king bed, AC unit, ceiling fan, wardrobe, and a built-in desk with a mirror, ideal for doing makeup. This room offers stunning views through the windows overlooking the upstairs living area, where sofas frame the breathtaking blue from Shelly Beach. It also features built-in sliding wall separators, allowing you to combine or separate the space from the adjacent bunk room (bedroom 4) as needed.
Bedroom 4:
The fourth bedroom, features two bunk beds sleeping 4 guests and is perfect for the kids. This room features an AC unit, ceiling fan, and wardrobe. Built-in sliding wall separators allow this room to be combined with or separated from bedroom 3, offering flexible living arrangements.
Bathroom 2:
The second bathroom, located across from bedrooms 3 and 4, features a shower, vanity, bathtub, and a separate toilet.
Level 1:
Bedroom Five:
The final bedroom in the home is on the first level and is complete with a queen bed, AC unit, desk space and glass sliding doors that open out to the back patio and garden.
Laundry/Toilet:
The laundry is located adjacent to the kitchen and features a front loader washing machine, dryer, sink and toilet.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home. There is space to park two cars in the double garage, plus two spaces to park in the driveway.
The Neighborhood:
Located on the foreshore of Shelly Beach, the home is just steps away from the sand. The closest patrolled beach is Kings and Dicky Beach which are both a short drive away. The home is located within walking distance to Moffat Beach where there is an abundance of cafes, restaurants and shops. There is also a hospital, shopping centre, library, cinema, boat ramp and skateparks all within close proximity. Shelly Beach is perfectly positioned with access to local parks and playgrounds, plus kilometres of walking and cycling tracks.

Getting Around:
It's ideal to have a car to get around the Sunshine Coast. There are local bus services that service this area frequently should you need it, the home is approximately a 15-minute walk to Edmund Street (corner of King St) where bus services are available and operate to Maroochydore (northbound) and Caloundra Station (southbound).
Other Things to Note:
*Pet-friendly for a max of 2 dogs upon application. When staying with a dog there is an additional fee of $50 per dog. Please reach out to us prior to booking with your pet to ensure you understand our pet rules.
*We DO NOT take schoolies bookings*
*No guests under the age of 20 travelling independently, fine if accompanied by family (ie. young adults apart from a family booking is ok.)
*This home is in a residential community with neighbours in close proximity. We have quiet hours on the Sunshine Coast after 9pm. We ask that you also generally respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum generally. *Please no events or smoking is permitted at any time.
*Please note to stay with us you will be required to fill out a check-in form for your stay. This is a requirement of all our guests that stay with us, access to our home will only be provided after the completion of our form.
*Electric vehicle charging: If you plan on charging your electric car while on holiday, we would appreciate it if you could first consider using the designated charging stations available at nearby shopping centres and public locations. These are great alternatives and help us manage our power usage. If you need to charge your electric car at our home, please reach out for pre-approval beforehand. Please be aware that there is an additional charge for this. We appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for a wonderful family holiday! Stunning views and hearing the surf 24 hours a day from the multiple balconies and bedrooms was pure magic. The beds were super comfortable. Loved all the interesting nik marks throughout the home and the indoor plants! The kid’s balcony was a hit with all the toys to play with. Can’t wait to come back again!!

Good size for all 10 of the family. Quite location and within walking distance of beaches and cafes. Kids enjoyed the beach and exploring the the rock pools they even rescued 4 small sharks from one of the pools and released then back into the ocean.

The property is lovely and in a fabulous location. It has a great "vibe" and was really comfortable for a week long stay with family! Beds super comfy and in general, everything you could want generally. Minor criticisms only. Lovely big fridge, but kitchen could do with a few more pots and pans and perhaps a toastie maker. The WiFi was very SLOW. Pet friendly but unfortunately the yard is not dog proof (which we found out the hard way), however we used the bins creatively to then close off the front yard and porch to keep the pooch sequestered. We plan to come stay again.

Retro delight
We absolutely loved our stay at the awesome retro beach house. Great variety of spaces to hang out together or retreat for quality solo time with a view. The beds were super comfy, the pillows and linen also divine. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Loved the retro furniture. Well appointed kitchen, the bar fridge was very handy, and the fire place! What a joy! We were there during a bit of a cold snap, and to end each day gathered around the fire was just perfect. Great location. Can’t say enough good things about the house. A shower downstairs would have been handy (there were 6 of us). Will certainly be coming back and also recommending to our architecture and design friends! Thank you.
