"My stay at Yatsusankan was so amazing. The surrounding town I was quiet in the winter but is full of culture, beauty, and good food. The grounds of the inn itself are serene and beautiful. The baths were so relaxing and extra peaceful thanks to their two outdoor baths. The staff is so kind and service was wonderful at all times. We had to check out early to get back to Tokyo, and the staff provided us with an early breakfast so that we wouldn’t leave hungry. I hope to return again one day. "

"Easy to find. Just a few minutes away. Come out of the station, walk ahead past the information centre, cross the road and walk straight ahead down the street. Walk past the 7 Bank and turn left. Hotel is on your right. We received such a warm welcome. We stayed 3 nights. The room was a reasonable size and we could put both cases open on the floor. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot and WiFi good. You can have breakfast downstairs for around AUD18. In the same room you can make...

"Good size room. Like the free flow of drinks (local sake, Asahi beer, coffee/tea) provided from 5pm till midnight at the lobby. Cosy lounge area. Very helpful and friendly staff. Top marks to all of them. Hotel very conveniently located near the old town. I would recommend trying at least once the Japanese breakfast provided by the hotel. "

"Spacious apartment complete with washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove and tub centrally located in town for an exceptionally reasonable price. The train station was behind us and the promised soundproofing was great. Some staff were able to speak English and were incredibly kind and helpful. Love the eco cleaning system! We extended our stay two more days to enjoy Takayama. Well worth it! "
