Ski Getaway

It was a nice house to stay for our yearly family ski trip. We had plenty of space and loved the view. The bus was close to the house, but we thought it was a ski in and ski out house. Still had a great time thou and enjoyed our stay.

Recommend

We stayed here for a tournament in Kamloops- nice to have the space (top bedroom looks like it has a separate single bed through the bathroom in one of the pics but it’s all in one room) only downer for us was the drive back and forth to town but the home was awesome and in walking distance to sunpeaks for biking, golf or dining etc.

Excellent work/play property

The house is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Easy ski-in access. The home had plenty of space for 8 adults and a very good variety of sleeping accommodations. Kathy was quick to respond to our inquiries.

Great place with very responsive host

We had a great time in this spacious and open home. Owners were available to answer questions promptly. Great for our family gathering, well stocked kitchen, hot tub, games, shuttle to village and ski right back to this wonderful house…all we needed. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Excellent set up and location for two families

This house has a great setup for a large group or family for sleeping, dining, and socializing. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of room for ski storage. It is on the bus route or an easy ski out.

Home with a beautiful view

Perfect home for our family vacation. We hadn’t been together for 4 1/2 years due to covid and the chalet was wonderful home base to create many family memories. We loved the Christmas tree!!

Pete t place for our group of friends on a mountain bike trip !

Perfect place for our bike trip. Lots of room a hot tub that was perfect at the end of a long day in the bike park and use of the garage for our bikes ! Highly recommend

The Morrsey Chalet Johnson Get Away

We loved the location. We were within walking or bike riding distance of the amazing village. We were a family of 14 gathering for a 40th Birthday Party and summer getaway. The chalet suited all our needs. We found the open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen were very accommodating for our party's size. Lots of books and games to entertain the kids The bedrooms were accommodating, with nice linens, pillows, and down duvets. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you Harold and Kathy

Sun Peaks is Great!

We were two families, 4 kids and dogs for a 5 day adventure on the Bike Park and Lakes at Sun Peaks. The home had everything we needed, was clean and ready to go at Check-in. Harold and Kathy have a great home, on a quiet street, 5 minute bike ride to the lifts. Thanks for a fantastic stay… absolutely recommended.

Great ski cabin in a beautiful location

This home is large and spacious with good amenities. The hosts are lovely, warm and helpful. The description is accurate, lots of space, lovely large clean hot tub for apres skiing. The kitchen was well stocked with nice pots, large Insta Pot, coffee grinder, and more. We wished there was a wooden spoon and a few reusable food containers would be helpful for leftovers and packing lunches. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice, great to have 3 bathrooms for a big group. The fireplace is awesome, and beautiful deck with a view of the mountains. The ski-in was good, and the free shuttle right out front in the morning for ski-out is very convenient. We found some of the beds to be too firm, but we got used to them by the end of the week. It was a memorable, lovely stay and we feel fortunate to have found this gem.

Beautiful and comfortable cabin

It was a great space to enjoy friends and family for a little holiday. Don’t bother packing your own books or DVDs… they have a variety of great reads in the bookshelves. Owners are accommodating and friendly.

Home away from home.

The accommodations were just as advertised. Very clean. Kitchen very well equipped. Beds very comfortable. There was nothing negative about the chalet. Harold came to visit which was a very nice thing to do. We are definitely keeping the Morrissey Chalet on our place to stay. Thank you. Garry and Sandra PONICH.

Hot Summer Days

We arrived in an unusal heat streak. Fans were provided. Property was clean and as shown in picutres. More than enough kitchen ware provided. Can sit on the deck and listen to the creek bubble in the trees. Neighbourhood was very nice. Short distance to the town centre. Hiking and biking was great. Lovely chalet.

Accommodating Accommodations

We had approximately 7-8 guests in total, which was the perfect sized group for this house. Any issues we had were dealt with extremely promptly. Kathy and Harold were able to accommodate late changes in our booking relating to early arrival and the inclusion of pets. It felt like ensuring we enjoyed our stay was of prime importance to our hosts. I would recommend Morrisey Chalet to any group looking for a getaway in the Sun Peaks/Lake Hefley area.

Could be cleaner

The hot tub was clean and had fresh, clear water. When we first arrived there was a strong vinegar smell. The outside of the fridge had not been cleaned properly, we were left a used dish sponge, and the main bathroom sink did not drain properly.
