Beautiful property and community. Well kept and maintained. We were on a canal and water was so pretty! Very spacious house, furniture was comfortable and beach. The air conditioner worked great, the kitchen had everything we needed. We didn’t use the pool but it looked great!

Clean Place. Great location. Friendly neighbors.

Check in was easy. However, was not as stated in the initial check in email. House was clean. Had everything we needed. The location was amazing. We were central to everything. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. The pool was very clean too. We would stay here again.

Back patio and canal. You can see fish and lizards back here all times of the day.

We really only had 2 issues with the house. 1) The grill was out of gas. We had purchased 80 in steaks to grill the first night there and once we got there it was out of gas. After 2 days of the owner, telling me that I had to go purchase new gas and then send them the receipt for reimbursement, someone finally brought us a new tank. It was a small thing, but it just was something we thought should have been checked before our arrival.2). This was probably my own misread, but there were no TVs in the the bedrooms. I am someone who almost needs a TV to fall asleep and it was a huge inconvenience for me. In addition, there was hardly any TV channels in the only TV in the house. No news, no weather, just the most basic package. The location of the house and everything else was great. So if you don't plan to grill or watch TV... this house is perfect.

Second time in this exact unit. Does not disappoint. We love the location, access to our boat and the cute cottage feel. The secured/gated community provides a sense of security. The ability to launch the boat, store the trailer, and have dock/slip access all in spot is fantastic!

Very nice place but resort too large for our liking.

This was a very nice place. Kitchen and living area comfortable and well stocked for our use. (We bring a lot with us when traveling by car.) Gas grill did have gas and was self-igniting. Bathrooms nice and clean. Guest shower is pretty but facet needs repair as it turns too far. Master shower was nice and strong. Bed was not comfortable for us, needs a topper. Towels were nice but we were only left 1 hand towel. Looked for another but couldn’t find one. This is a very large resort, (600 lots) we did not expect that, plus we were more than a 10 minute walk from the pool (I could do it in 10 but not my husband) We could drive but there are only 16 spots available. Most people have golf carts and bikes there. Had we known we may have rented a golf cart for our stay. I know I sound negative but it was really cute and we did enjoy our stay.

Great stay in the keys

Clean home right on the canal. Lots of extra sheets and towels. Great water pressure in shower. 10 min walk to clubhouse and pool. Security at gate were friendly and helpful. There were small bottles of shampoo and a small bar of soap in bathroom. There were brown paper towels in kitchen and two rolls of toliet paper in each bathroom. Bring more if you feel you will need it. Lots of kitchen supplies and clean appliances. Air conditioning worked great! Deck is covered so you can sit outside and not get wet or too hot in sun. TV worked great. We were able to watch streamed movies. Perfect for 4-6 people. My only suggestion would be a small toolbox. We’re were in need of pliers and screwdriver to fix fishing pole we brought.

Great stay

Only downside was I didn’t know I had to pay 125.00 registration fee at the check in office/ front gate. Love the experience besides that. The community overall was very nice. We enjoyed our stay the entire time. I would book this short term rental again if we revisited this location.

Venture Out Stay

The check in process was super easy. The staff manning the guarded gate were speedy and helpful. The ease of having a boat ramp and trailer storage onsite was amazing. I did not worry about the security of the boat or trailer while we were there. The dock at the rental unit was adequately sized and access to the boat was so close For loading and unloading gear. The rental unit was clean and comfortable. A small miscommunication regarding WiFi was quickly resolved by the host. I would recommend this location for any boat and water sport oriented family .

Cute Place

The house was nice and kept cool at 74 degrees with no fans. Only thing is I wish we had bicycles to ride around the neighborhood. We've previously stayed at other homes and they had bicycles so my daughters were hoping we had some but the property did not. Since it's at the end of the subdivision the walk to the rec center and pool is a bit of a hike but doable. Make sure to bring paper towels bc the house only has the gas station paper towels. Fridge is nice and large and accomodated all our food and drinks. They even had a nice little hotel shampoo and conditioner for the bathrooms. Plenty of pillows and blankets and the beds were comfortable.

Keys and Dry Tortugas

This house is clean and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen and a great deck with a water view. It's an easy drive for a day in Key West or the ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park or Bahia Honda State Park for swimming and snorkeling. The pool is large and not crowded for a quick dip in the evening. There is a small convenience store on the property. Would we stay here again?? YES!!!

Great water view unit!

The unit had every possible amenity you could possibly want. We loved sitting on the waterfront deck in the evenings and relaxing. There was plenty of linens including beach towels and the community pool was fantastic. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property!!

We really enjoyed it. The place is clean, top arranged and located 1*. It would have been nice if the owner would have advertised, that there is a resort fee (125$ for three nights). But that was the only bad surprise.

Location Location Location

This was our second year at VO, 1st at this location. The home was immaculate and well stocked, safe and cozy. Loved the canal traffic and private residences across the canal. Made for a very quiet two weeks. The resort can be “busy” toward the center, and we liked being on the outskirts. As we are mid 60s, we were beyond appreciative of the outside motion lights at night and extra lighting throughout the home. Maria was very responsive to questions and a grill concern. In fact, she had a new one delivered within days of us discovering the one on site was broken. This was very much appreciated - as well as the neighbor who offered to put it together so we could enjoy our day. We love that VO is 25 min north of Key West and about 45 min south of Marathon - the best of all worlds!

Not Cleaned - Prop Mgr Not Avail

We arrived 5 min after normal checking at 3 pm and unit had not been cleaned from previous rental. Had to wait over an hour until could use bathrooms and put our belongings away. Cleaner left laundry in washer and did not come back - we ended up finishing it. Otherwise no significant issues and unit has s great view up the canal. Guards were rude and unhelpful upon arrival 1/7/2024. When called due to inability to get in gate at pool, their response was to flag down someone already in the pool to open it for us. Guards had no respect for guests and old and young alike rude - maybe just because we are over 55?
