Welcome to BIG BLUE #230 in the Gorgeous Florida Keys!
Introducing this beautiful vacation home located in the serene Lower Keys, available for your spring to fall getaway. Nestled within the gated community of Venture Out, this property offers a wealth of amenities for a perfect sunny escape. Relax by the heated pool or enjoy a refreshing swim in the saltwater swimming lagoon. Engage in friendly competition with pool, ping pong, tennis, or pickleball. If you're in the mood for some fun, gather your group for a game of bocce! Don't worry if you forgot a book; there is a well-stocked library with plenty of options to choose from. For families, there's a playground and a kiddie pool to keep the little ones entertained. Explore the scenic bike paths along the Overseas Highway with the four adult bikes provided.
With two bedrooms and two baths, this home comfortably accommodates up to six guests in a king bed, queen bed, and queen sleeper sofa. Situated on a 60' wide canal, you'll have direct access to the water, with a 33' seawall dock perfect for your boat up to 30'. The dock features cleats, bumpers, a fish cleaning table, and a swim ladder for your convenience. Please ensure your boat fits tip to tip with the motor up within the 33' space. Guests will also have access to a storeroom equipped with a bait freezer and space for dive and fishing gear.
Enjoy the outdoors on the two covered decks—one overlooking the street and the other facing the tranquil canal. Additional seating is available under the home, and both upper and lower decks feature outdoor seating with a gas grill for your dining pleasure. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for home-cooked meals, and smart TVs are available in both bedrooms and the living room.
There is a Black and Decker drip and single serve coffee maker at this home for you to enjoy your favorite brew.
Stay connected with complimentary WiFi. Please note to adhere to the maximum occupancy of six guests as per Venture Out rules, and kindly request no pets or smoking on the premises. A three-night minimum stay is required, with a seven-night minimum during Lobster Season. We look forward to welcoming you to BIG BLUE #230 for an unforgettable Florida Keys experience!
We would like all potential guests to be aware that this home is located in a private and individually owned residential condominium and NOT A RESORT, therefore we ask that all guests treat our community as such.
If your group is larger than 6 persons, we have another property just 5 doors away on the same canal, which sleeps 4. The Property Name is Blue Mind #225. These homes are not connected, but a very short, easy walk down the road so your group could stay within steps of each other.
Adventure beyond the gates for a bite to eat at some of Florida Key's favorite restaurants such as, Square Grouper, Morning Joint, The Bent Prop, Mangrove Mamas, Kiki's Sandbar or Boondocks Draft house and Miniature Golf course, all within a 10 minute drive. Or head a little further to Key West for even more fun only 20 minutes away! Nearby you have Bahia Honda State Park or tour the Civil War fort at Ft. Zachery Taylor Park in Key West. There's amazing snorkeling on Looe Key. You may take a tour from just a couple of islands away.
Whether you're a seasoned angler eager to explore the abundant fishing grounds or simply seeking relaxation by the water's edge, our Florida Keys getaway promises an unforgettable vacation experience. Additional fees:
12.5% tax (5% lodging tax and 7.5% county sales tax), $150 cleaning fee, $75 booking fee, and a non-refundable $55 accidental damage fee. The Venture Out fee, paid at the gate upon arrival, is $125.00 and must be paid by debit or credit card. One vehicle is allowed to park at the home (NO exceptions). There are additional fees for parking an extra car, etc, but there is no guarantee of availability. We have a list of off site parking nearby, for your boat trailer and/or 2nd vehicle.
Must follow all the Rules and Regulations during your stay.
To ensure that you are protected, as well as the owner, we offer a $55 Damage Waiver Insurance. If you chose to opt out of the Damage Waiver a refundable $1,500 Security Deposit will be collected. Main guest must be 25 years of age or older and will need to email a copy of your drivers license to the Rental Manager after booking has been accepted. The vacation rental agreement must be signed and returned within 24 hours of booking acceptance. There is a 4% credit card processing fee.
Parking:
Parking for 1 vehicle per Unit. This vehicle must fit on the driveway and not extend out to the road. The driveway measurements are 19L X 10W. If your vehicle does not fit when you arrive, you will need to see the guard gate for an additional parking pass for the overflow lot which costs $5/day. Extra parking permit may be available at the Guard Station for an additional nightly fee for a maximum of 14 days depending on availability. Must follow all the Rules and Regulations during your stay.

Just Delightful!

We had garbage for weather, but this little place was so nice and well worth it! The fishing right out back was a ton of fun and loved dinner and morning coffee on the deck overlooking the canal. Thank you again!!

Wonderful trip!

Absolutely amazing home and spotless! Great location for fishing and snorkeling/diving. VO has nice boat ramps and on-site parking for your trailer. Very quiet neighborhood and everyone was really friendly. We will definitely be going back!

Home away from home

This was our 2nd visit to big blue. A family get together in paradise at a very comfortable, cozy home. Venture out has lots of amenities to enjoy and is close enough to both Key West and Marathon that you can take advantage of the world class fishing available there. Blue boasts a seawall on a deep water canal so you can bring your boat or rent one from nearby marinas to enjoy a day or several on the water. Blue is not just a rental condo, it's a home away from home.

Fishing in the Keys

What a nice place to stay. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable. We had everything we could need in the kitchen. The neighbors were nice. it was very clean. We will definitely stay there again.

PERFECT

No matter what you do in the keys you have fun the most important thing is to have a clean and comfortable place to lay your head with quality beds. Everything that you need was there. My only suggestion would be 2 twins instead of a queen in the second room because sofa beds are never a comfortable option, we left the cushions on and cover it with a sheet and used it as a twin, i have big teenagers, lol. Shelly was very helpful when we needed her assistance. Hope to stay there again soon.

Beautiful home and resort!

Checkin was very easy and the girls at guard shack were so friendly! The house was beautiful and right on a salt water canal. Pool is very clean and big, plenty of chairs etc. would book again!

Very Nice Very Clean

The house was very clean and very comfortable. And the amenities at the complex are very nice, the pool, the nice tikis overlooking the ocean, tennis courts and the list goes on. Only negatives; the community is a lot of “houses” very close together and it is a bit of a drive to get to Key West.

This was a nice community and was conveniently located with an on-site convenience store that did not price gauge. We rented a golf cart that was delivered right on site. To get out with the boat was very easy.

Shelly is an excellent host!

This property was perfect for us! Three adult couples! We brought our boat, launched it at the Venture Out boat ramp and were able to place in the water at Shelly’s boat dock, literally at our doorstep! Not having to load and unload all of our fishing gear each day and not worrying that someone would bother it was fantastic! Venture Out Community was great! The house / property had everything we could possibly need. The house was clean and felt very welcoming! We will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future! Thank you Shelly for allowing s to be in your home!
