Overall, the house was just okay. It is an older property, and there were several issues that affected our stay.First, the hot water had a very strong unpleasant smell when showering — similar to a rotten egg or sulfur smell. We believe this may be related to the water heater or plumbing system. In addition, there were quite a few insects inside the house, including spiders, ladybugs, and flies, which made the space feel less clean and comfortable.However, the most serious issue was that the listing description was misleading. The listing clearly states that there is a “private hot tub,” which reasonably implies exclusive use for our stay. We booked this property expecting a fully private experience.After arriving, we discovered that there is another apartment connected behind the main house that is rented to other guests. The backyard and parking area are shared, and most importantly, the hot tub is shared between both units. This was not disclosed anywhere in the listing. Sharing a hot tub with strangers is something we are completely uncomfortable with, and had this been clearly stated, we would not have booked this property.This lack of transparency was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We strongly believe the listing should clearly state that the hot tub and outdoor areas are shared to avoid misleading future guests.
