"We enjoyed our stay at The Old Pheasant Hotel very much. There are great staff, the room and bed were very comfortable, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We stayed for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent."

"Great, central location, nice walk into main part of town. Room was comfortable and clean. The owner was very helpful, moving cars around to make sure parking was sorted. Also allowing us to use a different room for a shower in the morning, as I broke the pull cord on the shower in our original room!"

"The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. It is close to a miller and carter just across the carpark. There is also a well stocked Asda express close by. The breakfast is a included in the price and is very good with lots of choice."

"The building has an extensive history and is an architectural marvel. The room was spacious and well appointed. Dinner was exquisite. The grounds were immaculately kept and the surrounding land was a picture of pastoral beauty. The pool and sauna were relaxing and we had them all to ourselves. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary."

"Great value, basic, clean, not modern but did its job. I needed a comfy bed, clean bathroom, nice and peaceful, good parking and great breakfast. It was cheap. Great family hotel, very friendly."

"Nice breakfast, parking is a tight for the number of rooms but ok if you arrive for a early check in.Speaking of the check in it states a time 12 noon but this is not correct,we arrived at 1pm only to be told that is to early but our room was ready so no problem for us and able to park ok."
