"The hotel is charming on the outside. The interior is more of a standard hotel, a bit tired/dated in some respects. But it was clean, the room was comfortable & the bathroom was large and updated. It was convenient having a restaurant/bar on the premises and it was walkable to a restaurant nearby - Salatinos. What was unexpected and fantastic was the large and bright swimming pool, with sauna & steam. Really enjoyed that!"

"The grounds are beautiful and historic and when we drove up I had high expectations for the interior. I would not consider it anywhere near a 4 star hotel. The room was in a poor state, and paint was chipping from every surface, and the carpet was split down the center of the room creating a crater, in addition to being frayed and shredded.
