"The hotel is actually a former student residence for a nearby college. It is a bit basic but one really can't fault it, everything works very well. There isn't an on-site restaurant serving breakfast, etc, but there are kitchens on each floor, I left milk in the fridge for breakfast. The nearby art gallery has an excellent restaurant, and there is a Morrisons supermarket close by. It is right on Greenock Quay, it is a perfect place to stay if going on Waverley trips by steamer.

"Property in a poor state. No TV or WiFi in late evening. Could not get into breakfast room at 8.30, staff eventually came and opened up. The cooked breakfast was good. No evening meals available, bar was closed when we returned at 10.15 pm. Bathroom floor tiles were broken."
