"This is exactly what you want in a guesthouse in a tiny village. By far the best place we stayed at in Scotland with amazing staff, beautiful decor, and absolutely amazing food! Do not skip the restaurant! Cannot recommend the Bankfoot Inn enough!"

"The hotel is located outside of Perth centre, in a quiet area and close to the Almond river. There is a lovely riverside walk within half a mile of the hotel. There are no busy roads close by, so the hotel and grounds are quiet, which we appreciated. The reception and restaurant employees were helpful and polite. Sadly, I cannot give the hotel a higher rating than 2 stars because it really needs refurbishment. The furniture in the room shows signs of wear, and the walls need redecorating. There...

"The hotel is in a beautiful setting with great views over the surrounding countryside and a well maintained golf course. Our room was fairly basic and a little shabby which we expected to be more polished for the price paid. The restaurants were good, particularly the breakfast, included in our rate, which had a good selection and was great value for money. The food at the Cairns restaurant for dinner was nice but the service was a bit disjointed. There was a lot of staff but still took a while...

"This hotel had the feel of an old 1980s hotel that had been poorly maintained over the years by the owners. The room was clean but on our second morning we weren't able to have a shower because the shower didn't work. The tap water was also like an oven while the beds were like rocks. Despite promising wi-fi this too was non-existent. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok but during our stay there was always a feeling of what was going to go wrong next."
