Elm Tree Farm, West Street, Steeple Claydon This newly built house on the C road west of Steeple Claydon has a sign near the public road saying it is Elm Tree Farm. It is not however marked as such on any OS map, indeed the building is not shown on the OS 1:25,000 map, though there are new farm buildings off camera to the right.

Farmland off West Street, Steeple Claydon. This view looking south-east from the C road west of Steeple Claydon, adjacent to Elm Tree Farm, see 434719, is of flat farmland with hedgerows and trees. The fields are drained by a small stream alongside the second and distant hedgerow, that flows north to Padbury Brook.

West tower and spire of St Michael and All Angels parish church, Steeple Claydon, Buckinghamshire. The tower is Decorated Gothic and has a broach spire, which is one that starts on a square base on a tower, and then builds up to a tapered octagonal top by means of triangular faces. Note the gold cockerel weathervane atop the spire.

Great room in the old cells. Staff were very good. We dropped our case in the morning and it was in our room when we returned to check in. Only quibble, restaurant area for breakfast isn't great. Cooked breakfast should come with toast rather than having to make your own.
