"We just enjoyed the best two nights here! We loved learning about the history of the Inn and the place is so well preserved. The innkeeper and chef were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was so delicious both mornings. The location was great as well. Almost everywhere we wanted to go regardless of the direction was 15-20 minutes away. There was an amazing pizza place right around the corner that we would definitely suggest going to. We highly recommend this inn and will surely be...

"Quaint location in the middle of nowhere. We weren't in town for the sites but if you like living on a farm it's sweet. Parking was all dirt and made things very muddy during the rain. Owner/proprietor was nice and friendly "

"Our stay at Silver Lake was perfect. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful views, and convenient to Harrisonburg for evening meals. We could have stayed an extra day just to sit on the porch with a glass of wine and a book. Morning coffee on the porch was the perfect start to the day."

"We chose Friendly City as a stopover driving from Boston to Atlanta and could not have been more delighted. The innkeeper was lovely, the room was very comfortable with everything you might need from hairdryer to iron and ironing board. "Huge well appointed room. Incredible breakfast. Host was very accommodating to guest needs, as many of us had to be up early for UVA graduation. She made to-go breakfasts for everyone with fresh muffins, yogurt, fresh cut fruit. Lovely overall experience. Nice not to be in the center of town near Grounds. Very easy access when you do."
