Welcome to The Stumble Home — a dog-friendly, single-story vacation rental tucked under the oaks on St. Simons Island. Located just a few breezy blocks from the Myrtle Street beach access and the Village, this home makes it easy to savor every moment of island life. Spend your mornings on the spacious screened-in front porch, where ceiling fans keep the air moving and a two-person swing invites you to linger a little longer.

Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, take a short drive or an easy bike ride up to Palm Coast Coffee for a relaxed brunch, or Dulce Dough for fresh, local pastries (get there early — they’re famous for selling out fast).

Inside, you’ll find a cozy living room with plush leather seating, a 50-inch smart TV, and playful vintage decor that hints at childhood summers by the sea. Off to the side, the bright, air-conditioned sunroom offers even more space to gather — perfect for morning coffee, card games, or rainy day movie marathons on a second 56-inch TV.

The dining area comfortably seats six, flowing seamlessly into a well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a regular drip coffee maker, a crock pot, a blender, and all the essential cookware you’ll need to keep vacation meals easy.

Whether you're planning beach days, exploring the Village, or enjoying a sunset cocktail near the historic King and Prince Resort, The Stumble Home puts you right in the heart of it all.

SLEEP IN ON ST. SIMONS
Each of The Stumble Home’s three bedrooms features a king-sized bed and ceiling fan, offering plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The primary suite boasts a dual-zoned Sleep Number bed and a private ensuite bathroom with a beautifully preserved cast iron tub. Two additional king bedrooms share a bright, updated full bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual showerheads — perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.

ST. SIMONS OUTDOOR LIVING
Fire up the charcoal grill on the wooden back deck, unwind under the trees, or stroll a few breezy blocks to the Myrtle Street Public Beach Access. Some of St. Simons’ most beloved spots are also just minutes away — from morning coffee at Palm Coast and pastries from Dulce Dough (if you’re early!) to sunset seafood at Crab Daddy’s, Crab Trap, Fiddler’s, and Barrier Brewery.

The shady front yard offers a perfect place for your pup to stretch out after a beach adventure, and the island’s famously dog-friendly beaches mean everyone in the family gets to enjoy the getaway.

• Free WiFi is included. A full-size stackable washer and dryer are available for guest use.
• The Stumble Home is pet-friendly for dogs only, with a $99 non-refundable pet fee. We accept a maximum of two dogs, each under 65 pounds, and at least one year old. Pit bulls are not allowed, and no exceptions can be made.
• Parking for up to four cars is available on-site.

Updated older home, the ground level was nice, it did have a couple steps coming in and out but convenient if your traveling with an older dog (we were) that has difficulties taking steps or if your elderly. Nice area, Crab trap and Crab daddies restaurant were right across the street, not too far from other local shops and the pier. Walking distance to the beach. We rented a golf cart to go back and forth which was more convenient! I would have preferred to have tv's in each bedroom but overall enjoyed our short stay!

We came for my husband's Amateur Golf tournament weekend. It is a great place and location within walking distance of a few restaurants, a brewery, and a coffee shop. We stayed during the freeze of January the day after the ice storm and the owners were very accommodating and provided extra blankets.  Our favorite restaurant is Fiddlers.   Walking distance to the beach and 2 dogs love it. ( no leash during off-season). There is no backyard for the dogs to go to the bathroom- just the small front yard.  Overall, the great collection of antiques inside the cottage was cool.

We booked this at the last minute and had 2 dogs to accommodate. We booked this property not knowing anything about East Beach or the area. We were more than over whelmed. The property was wonderful and we spent a ton of time on the front porch. I (dad) got up every morning and walked 2 short blocks to see the sunrise, very awesome! At night we went to Crab Trap for dinner (great oysters!). But, the best thing about the night - the bed in the front bedroom was AWESOME! My daughter stayed in the back bedroom and was happy, but I could have stayed in the bed nightly. Overall - great location, great place and wonderful experience. Next time, we will come for more of a vacation than a family event - we will want to stay here! Just very happy with this location and house! Lastly - the booking agent was, by far, the most "advanced" agent. Everything was via email and text, which made things very easy. Overall, a great experience! I grew up in the low country, but this was wonderful! Thank you for sharing your home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Everything we needed for our family. Short (approximate 5 minute) walk to the beach. It is on the main road but we had no issues with crossing the street at all. We had one small issue and someone was there within 15 minutes to take care of it. Only complaint was yard needed some attention. We’d definitely recommend.

This house is in a great location. Block straight down to the beach. Short walk to Crab Trap, Crab Daddy, Fiddlers and liquor store, brewery and stained glass shop( great for gifts). Biggest complaint is the silverware is undesirable. Left over from some old estate, severely tarnished, needs to be replaced. Pillows in one bedroom were extremely soft. This is on a busy street and I can imagine Memorial Day thur Labor Day it is crowded and noisy. Overall worked well for us .

Perfect little cottage on the Island and close to eveything. Comfy even though it was very hot outside. I would recommend anyone needing a 3 bedroom on the Island, and not wanting to spend a fortune, pick this place.

Enjoyed overall. The pictures and description is somewhat deceiving as doesn’t show or mention location on busy road or commercial property across the street. The bed in the front bedroom is HARD AS A ROCK and the front bathroom toilet doesn’t flush properly. The grill had not been cleaned in a long time. Otherwise, it was a nice cottage. Great kitchen, well equipped.
