Sandy Shores 203 2 BR Gulf Front

This two bedroom/2bath gulf front unit offers an amazing view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. The dining room and living room area opens out to the private balcony. The kitchen has all modern appliances and the cabinets are filled with dishes, cookware and utensils. A coffee maker and toaster are also provided. The master bedroom has a large window that over looks the beach and a sliding door that goes out to the private balcony. A unique king bed, dresser, flat screen TV and walk- in closet furnish the room. The guest bedroom has a queen and a twin, chest of drawers and wall closet. Bed linens and bath towels are provided for up to 6 guests in the condo. Our friendly staff will do their best to accommodate any requests or concerns you may have during your vacation. Please come and enjoy the beautiful beach and soothing warm breezes as well as the local attractions which include John's Pass Village and Boardwalk with its many shops, cafes, restaurants and fishing charters directly across the street from our condos. Coin operated washers and dryers are located on each floor. This is a non- smoking accommodation.

Floors and refrigerator were dirty and the door didn’t lock only from the inside. Our original room was out of service so we had to stay in a different room and a family came knocked on the door and said they were told to move to this room because they were having AC issues. We wanted to vacuum the room because of the sand and it didn’t work. It was nice having some beach chairs and umbrella (but the umbrella didn’t work)

The worst placed I’ve ever stayed

Save your money and don’t ever book this place..It’s a disaster!!!Beds sheets were never changed before arrival. Full of sand from previous guest.. covers and sheets had blood and pee stain..The bathtub didn’t drain for over 24hrs.It’s one thing for the place to outdated!!! But to be dirty is unacceptable… for the amount of money one pays for a nice relaxing weekend..Thank goodness I’m local.. i went back to my place to sleep!! DONT BOOK

Room was gross

I understand rooms being outdated, that is not a problem. However, the room definitely felt like it had not been cleaned. Floors were gross and not with just sand. The bathroom mirrors still had tooth paste marks from the previous people that stayed. A carped it literally taped down because it’s missing a tile in front of the fridge. Television in master doesn’t work. And we found multiple roaches. I’ve stayed in this building before and had a much better experience. I do not recommend this room at all.

The view / location are amazing - the condo needs some repairs

Communication needs work - asked a question and got an answer that did not answer my question. Followed up with no response. The condo needs work - cabinet paint is pealing off, the dishwasher door is broke, and the water clogs. For the price of the condo it should be nicer than this.

Sandy Shores # 203 - John's Pass

The location was perfect; right across the street from John's Pass, and you couldn't ask for a better view. The condo is rundown. A tile is missing in the kitchen. The toilet in the first bathroom did not work properly; had to take the lid off of it to flush it. The master's closet was stuffed full and was ajar with things hanging out when we arrived. We could not get the television in the master to work. You do not get any local channels on any of the televisions. You have to stream on the tvs that did work. The patio furniture was okay, but they had old rusted furniture stacked in a corner. Only provided three full towels and three wash clothes for four adults staying two nights. This condo needs a good refresh, and it would be perfect.

Condo seeds a bit of taking care of little thing's like paint chipping off kitchen cupboards below kitchen sink, water dripping down from vents, cleaning needs to be better, especially floors, blue stain on bath counter. Over all. I'd stay there again. Need to monitor thee late hours people are in the pool being loud.

The location was great. That’s the only positive comment I can say about this unit. Overall, it was dirty. The furnishings were broken and filthy. The ice maker didn’t work. I reported it & no one came. However, an electrician showed up for a previous call & fixed the light in the kitchen. The TV in the master bedroom didn’t work & the doorknob almost fell off. There was no room in the closets for clothes because they were all used as storage. The dishwasher worked intermittently and the kitchen was woefully lacking in supplies. Not a potholder anywhere. The guest bathroom was filthy. It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for months. I was reluctant to call for any complaints because we didn’t want to wait around for service. For the money we paid for this unit, it was a crying shame!

The pictures posted are not what we walked into. The condo is very outdated. Furniture is very worn! Not clean either! Very nice area though. Walking distance to everything. Beach view was perfect. This would be a very nice condo if the owner would do some repairs and update the furniture. And I would get a new cleaning person!

Weekend getaway

We go to the Clearwater area at least once a year, we've always rented a house. However, this time we wanted closer access to the beach, so we decided to rent this condo because of it's location and photos online looked good. However, once there, it was not as easy as previous rentals in regards to communicating with the property manager. Sent message on Vrbo with no response, so I sent an email, which wasn't responded to until next day and did not fully address all my concerns. There was a phone number to call, but it was all automated, could not reach a live person. There was no one at the office, even during the posted Open Hours of 9am to 5pm. The elevator was broken on a Sunday and apparently no maintenance person works, so everyone had to wait until Monday, which was a burden carrying everything up and down the stairs. At the end of the day, the condo was good in terms of location, room size, etc. We just did not like the fact that the floors were not very clean, our feet was dirty and black after about 10 mins of walking around. Personally, we will probably not rent this condo in the future.

Terrible experiece

The view was wonderful! The condo was DISGUSTING! U should b ashamed of renting this condo at Sandy shores #203. I'm so glad we only had 2 nights there. I am using every platform available to let others know never to stay there! For the cost it was a huge disappointment! The tvs, the running facet, the dirt under the couch, which was also disgusting! The electrical outlets, 2 were coming off the walls. A disaster waiting to happen. I will never see me nor any family member at your property again!!! Shame on you for ripping people off!!!

Great Location

The condo needs to be updated. Ceiling fans did not work. Beds need to updated. Plug on one way trew sparks when trying to plug something in. Over all the location was wonderful and we was outside more then in. I would stay again

Could be so much better if the owner cared

This property is in a wonderful location. It looks out over the ocean and pool. It is close to John Pass Village which offers lots of restaurants and shops. The unit however leaves a lot to be desired. It could be a 4-star room, but it lacks a lot of maintenance and cleaning issues. The floors were disgusting. Why did I pay a cleaning fee? The silverware was dirty, and some items were rusted. Bathrooms were dirty and the tub didn't drain. The front door security lock was broken, and therefore useless. Wall sockets sunk into wall; ceiling fan electric cables not pinned to the wall properly. The building management was never available. Needed them twice, but they weren't there in the middle of the day (door locked, no one home). Blinds were missing slats, and the living room blinds were broken and couldn't even be closed. Furniture was in disrepair (holes, worn, filthy). Just go somewhere else, trust me. It's sad. This place could be so much more.

Won't be staying here again

Very outdated. One of the comforters had poop smeared on it. Called housekeeping to replace it, they took it and never brought us another one. The master bathroom shower drain was clogged, had water above my ankles when done showering and the next person had to wait awhile for it to drain. Didn't get fixed until the day before we left. Had a sign posted in the elevator for an upcoming HOA meeting about a bed bug issue they are having in the building, luckily I didn't see any. Good location was the only great thing about it. Won't rent this unit again, over priced!!!

Location was great but overall terrible

The overall cleanliness of the condo was terrible. The shower was gross. The condo was outdated but I can do outdated, it's the mildew throughout the place. I was surprised they have a maid! She came at 915am to clean on checkout day. Heard a knock while packing up and before I know it she's inside. I asked her to please come back at 10 as we were still packing. Between the yuck of the place and the maid helping herself inside before checkout, I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone

Great beach vacation

The location was great, with awesome beach views. This was a great spot for our girls' weekend. The balcony is amazing - nice and big, with a table and chairs - plenty of room to play cards and watch the sunset. We did have a chirping fire alarm on the last night, and no one answered the after-hours number or called back. The second room (with two beds) needs more lighting. I highly recommend bringing a mattress pad for the king-size bed if you can - it's hard, but the pillows are soft and comfy. Also, visitors should be told when they need to start the dishwasher so there's time for unloading (required) - I started it at 7:30 a.m., but it was still going at 9:45, so we had to stop it and finish the rinse cycle by hand so we could check out by 10. Could use some updating, like the dining room chairs that are severely worn out. We had two vehicles but only one parking pass, and no way to get a second (office closed by the time we arrived). Luckily, no one was towed Lots of pool toys and floats for the kids or adults, and the pool is nice and heated!

DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT

The unit is a disaster! Doors off hinges/tracks. Dishwasher rubber gasket off. Dining area seats ripped and no stuffing so your chin practically hits table. Chair on balcony broken and someone could have been seriously hurt. Lighting in all rooms is terrible. The only good thing was the maintenance guy who came day after arrival and 6 hours after we were told he would arrive (not his fault)

Great Location/Elevator is Ridiculous

Location is what you’re paying for. Property manager made check in easy. The blinds to the patio doors don’t function, several lights out and walls are super thin (loud neighbors but not the fault of the renter). The worst though, one elevator that is unbelievably slow and was out for an entire day during the trip. Overall we had a good time and the kids were happy.
