Home Away from Home - Sand Dollar 204 is a SILVER rated two-bedroom, two-bath Gulf Front vacation rental located in Indian Shores. This spacious 2nd-floor vacation rental has a delightful décor and includes a private Gulf Front balcony with a view of our beautiful white sugar sand beach. Plenty of balcony furniture to enjoy magnificent sunsets!

Vacation rental 204 offers a full size, fully-equipped kitchen complete with appliances including microwave and dishwasher, stocked drawers and you need to enjoy dining at home. Flat Screen Cable TVs in the living room and all bedrooms, telephone with free local US and Canada calls along with free Wi-Fi are also provided.

Sleeping accommodations include one king in the main bedroom and 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. Both bathrooms offer single sink vanities. The main bath offers a comfort height toilet and a walk-in shower. There is a tub shower combo in the other bathroom. 204 has a Washer/Dryer, Central heat/air conditioning along with ceiling fans.

The Sand Dollar Resort amenities include On-Site Front desk for easy check-in, Gulf Front swimming pool, sundeck, Jacuzzi, Private fishing pier, Volley Ball area, Charcoal grills, free parking, interior elevator system, stairs, pool restrooms and outdoor shower. Check-out maid service included. Bed Linens and bath towels are provided as well as beach towels.

Maximum occupancy: 6 persons (including infants). 204 is a Smoke-Free Vacation Rental. Sorry, No pets. Limit two parking passes at check-in. No trailers, RVs or boats.

Pros: Lg spacious rooms, nice lanai with bar height table and glider, spectacular views, great beach, convenient location for shopping & restaurants, staff friendly & helpfulCons: dark and dreary bedrooms, furnace & hot water heater exposed in bedroom closet, ironing board cover 5" larger than board-Impossible to use, only 2 dish towels, floors sandy and dirty upon arrival.

Not our best stay

Condo was clean but public areas not so good. Sofas, two chairs in living room and the beds all very soft. Power out one day but building mgr. got Duke power to turn it back on. Both bathrooms extremely small and windows in both bedrooms opened into hall. Barbara at the desk and handyman Dave both helpful. Have loved almost all VRBOs we have rented before but will look for another beach one next year.

Very Nice Condo...except...

Dennis and the front desk team were very helpful! The challenge we had did not have to do with any of the people associated with the property. In fact the condo was very nice! However we only stayed one night. We arrived at about 11pm. As soon as we opened the door the smell of cigarette smoke hit us! The guests who had been in the condo just before us had done some serious smoking even though it is clearly noted in the condo profile that it is a non smoking unit. There was no way we could stay for the week with the condo smelling as it did. The unfortunate part is that possibly, had the cleaning team brought it to the attention of the property manager maybe something could have been done since we were a very late arrival. Annette at the front desk (my apologies if I have the wrong name) was very helpful even in the midst of it being a busy Monday. She was able to find an available condo in Redington Beach at Ram Sea. Since we did not have a car the accountant was so kind to offer to drive us down to see the alternate unit. Due to the fact that the new condo did not smell of smoke we made the switch. I will say, for us, overall we preferred the Sand Dollar 204 to the RamSea. We were disappointed to have to leave a really nice condo.

Nice property - very nice pool, good location. Could use additional towels. Also, some of the bed pillows need replacing. Could use a few more kitchen baking pans. VRBO fees are too high.

Enjoyable Stay on the Beach

The Sand dollar property is nicely located for beach and water activities as well as easy access to Tampa and St. Pete. The condo was clean and easily met our expectations. Property management quickly helped resolve one needed repair to the glass slider to the balcony, so future guests should have no problem with it. Some unavoidable noise from other's rolling luggage at times, but overall the noise level even with lots of families with kids was fine.

Loved the close beach access and views from the balcony. The office staff were friendly and helpful. There was mold in the main shower that needs to be addressed. The cable box did not work in the living room. And it would be great to have some beach towels/chairs available. We loved our stay!

Nice vacation

We liked the condo. There were a couple of things that need attention. The cable box half way worked in the living room. The shower in the hallway had mold in it. The bathroom sink didn’t drain to well. All things that can be easily remedied. Over all we had a nice stay.

Great location; right on beautiful beach, close to grocery stores and restaurants.

As the elevator is very slow, probably best to be on floors 1-3. Unit 204 needs some TLC such as fresh paint on all the trim. There is water damage, on the baseboard by one of the showers and the cold water tap handle needs to be tightened. As we were in bare feet and in/out of the balcony , our feet were quite dirty. Perhaps more attention to cleaning of the floor. I should have addressed this issue earlier in our stay but didn’t. JCResorts have a grading system: Bronze, Silver and Gold. 204, I found out, is considered Silver. We have booked for next year in a Gold unit.

Excellent Stay

This is the second year staying at the Sand Dollar. Last year we were in a different unit. We love this property for its close access to the beach, shade provided by sitting under the pier, and great pool. The units could use some updating. This particular unit had a very good layout and we did not have any issues. Just small things could be done to improve. Bathroom sink handle was falling off, TV in master the cable box was just perched on top of the TV. And there could have been better kitchen utensils and beach towels. All in all those are very minor complaints and we had a great stay. Thank you to the host.
