"I would highly recommend to stay here. I enjoyed the quirky decor and was very clean and comfortable. I was suprised to find I had a bath in my room but no shower but made a change! The room was in the attic so very hot but once I'd turned off the radiator, opened the windows and staff found me a fan it was ok.Good breakfast and would return when next in the area."

"Friendly staff in this hotel, food excellent and varied. Lovely big bedroom, comfy beds with vintage furniture, bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover. Superb view looking over the river with the swans and ducks. No lift in the hotel so I did struggle with the stairs."

"The location was great for work and visit alike, The hotel staff where polite and friendly and did their best to accommodate where requested. I would recommend staying there. The only thing is the windows in the tower part of the Hotel have seen better days and really should be replaced, although with the secondary double glazing its not a big issue. "

"Despite all the information you have about the location accommodation, I found it very difficult to locate. However when I finally arrived, the host was very welcoming and the accommodation was very warm. The only thing I noticed was that there were invoices from probaly a previous occupant in one of the bedroom drawers and some earpods left in the lounge. Maybe their cleaner needs to be more vigilant."

"Could not fault our Stay at the Carrington Arms. The room was excellent, spacious and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding of good quality. We dined twice in the restaurant a beautiful environment and the food was outstand and so was the breakfast. Not forgetting the Staff who could not do enough for us. I would give 10 stars if I could!! Ps excellent value for money . "

"The staff were very welcoming. The room was amazing. The breakfast choices were varied. My wife had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast and i had the big full english, both of which were cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. We highly recommend you stay here if you get the chance."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. "I have stayed in some of the most expensive hotels around the country. had to meet up with my son who was staying here along with another 2 groups of friends. I was apprehensive with the cheep price and a 2.5 star rating. I absolutely loved this place and WILL be going back. I met up with the manager who showed me some other rooms that was all amazing. "Lovely quiet hotel friendly helpful staff. Excellent food in restaurant. Comfortable room and bed but only downside was that shower over bath had low sloping ceiling so couldn’t stand up had to sit in bath and shower yourself no shower curtain or screen. "
