"The room was gross multiple stains on the carpet. Dont book this. I had to leave my 7 night stay after 24 hours and book other accommodations. In this day and age cleanliness shouldn't be something I have to argue with the staff about."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Second Nature. It has a modern and ‘homey’ feel to it; my teenage son loved sleeping in the loft bed which was so cozy and comfortable. It was great having a kitchen and especially appreciated having laundry facilities downstairs. Check in was easy and the desk staff members were all so helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting comfort (vs. a luxury marble lobby type of hotel experience)."

"Whilst acknowledging that this is a 5-star “restaurant with rooms” and not a 5-star hotel, it is marketed as a high end accommodation but fell short. The quality of the in room coffee and hot chocolate wasn’t great (although very nice soaps in the bathroom!), and it wasn’t fun/a good start to the holiday to carry our pre-cruise suitcases through the restaurant and then up the stairs. The bed/bedding and the bathroom were nice but the remainder of the room was very curiously furnished. The times...

"A really nice B&B, great location, only 15 mins walk into town and the station. The room was a great size for a small double (I think thats what I booked!), very clean, local info folder.
The breakfast was superb, cooked fresh by lovely staff/owner.
Was an absolute pleasure and I hope I get to stay again :)"

Online check in denied as they ‘needed to check ID’, despite this being ticked green as I had done this before at this same hotel. My partner and I were arriving at separate times, so I had to contact the hotel again to get her name added (despite being named as person checking in on Expedia).
When she arrived, she was made to feel awkward and told they will do it ‘just this once’ and that...
