Sparkling Gulf View From A Partially Covered Deck

  • Dos habitaciones, dos baños en casa sobre pilotes de 8 pies ubicados en un lote de medio acre cubierto de robles de la isla. Siéntese en la terraza y disfrute de la vista del Golfo de México o salga a caminar por el sendero pavimentado para correr temprano por la mañana o pasear tranquilamente con el café en la mano.

    Una cama queen size en el dormitorio principal y dos camas matrimoniales en el segundo dormitorio. El sofá cama Queen está disponible en la gran sala si es necesario. Una casa espaciosa para cuatro, pero puede ser utilizada por seis si es necesario, PERO NO SE RECOMIENDA.

    Los baños tienen pisos cerámicos, bañera completa con duchas. Una ducha exterior cerrada con agua fría y caliente está disponible y es ideal para usar al salir de la playa o al regresar de un día de pesca.

    Cocina completa con barra para cocinar / comer 4 'por 8' con capacidad para ocho personas cómodamente.
    Lavavajillas, triturador de basura y refrigerador con máquina de hielo completan los electrodomésticos fijos. Cafetera, licuadora, parrilla portátil para panqueques, huevos y similares, abrelatas eléctrico, sartenes de campo bajo, dos ollas de cocción lenta, una máquina para hacer palomitas de maíz y una parrilla Foreman, una cocina bien surtida con numerosas ollas, sartenes, platos a la cacerola y los similares se suman a la cocina extremadamente bien surtida.

    Servicio completo de porcelana para 8, abundantes tazas de café, vasos de agua y copas de vino disponibles. Vajilla para 16. Todos los demás accesorios de cocina disponibles.

    NO FUMAR
    MASCOTA AMIGABLE PERO, pedimos una tarifa por mascota de $ 100. Tenemos la limpieza de mascotas en casa después de cada alquiler con mascotas. Esto implica limpiar con vapor las áreas de las alfombras y aspirar todas las sillas y sofás. (Si su mascota está visitando la isla, por favor familiarícese con las Leyes de Leash del Condado)

Such a cozy and relaxing beach home!! It was very clean and comfy. Great view of the beach. Our family and dogs loved it. Great place to stay for sure!

The host was very welcoming. The home offered great privacy and a good view of the gulf. It was clean and had about every amenity you could ask for. The close public beach access was a plus. It was a perfect fit for a family of 5 with a pet. Would stay there again

Didn’t receive the key code until the day of . Check in was at 4 and didn’t get in until almost 5. Floors were still dirty. If you walk barefoot you could feel and see sand and dirt stuck to the soles. House had a foul smelling odor. Seen roaches and left a day early for that reason. No partial refund or reduce stay rate. Absolutely nothing with the exception of a text that said it’s sprayed monthly. Well it must need it weekly. Weather also played a factor in it not being the best St.George Island trip. This was 3rd time visiting and the worst stay I’ve experienced.

Close to beach

We had a nice time at Buckys place, was thankful for the covered deck & patio furniture, close to beach, short walk. Overall, nice quaint place.

Great location

The house and interior is a little on the older side, nevertheless we enjoyed our stay very much. Very comfortable and great location. We definitely recommend Bucky‘s Beachaus.

Very nice property. Niki was very accommodating. They have multiple smartTVs so you can log in with your streaming services as well as some of the services provided. AC was brand new and worked great. Short walk to the beach and a view of the waves from the back deck. Nice place.

Great place for beach vacation

My family and I had a wonderful at this rental home. The location was great very close within a few minutes walk to a beach. The check-in was a breeze and the owner even called to give me tips about restaurants and what to do in town. Highly recommended.

Nice home off the beach

Nice place located one block off the beach in a quiet area. Great communication with the owner and very easy check in and check out. While I feel the home could use a little TLC to spruce up, my key question is - would I stay again - and the answer is YES.

Perfect for the wife and me.

This home was the perfect size for my wife and I. The home was very neat, clean, and very well maintained. The owner was every easy to deal with and answered questions very promptly. Booking and check in were as easy as could be.

Great location, Very close to the beach, you can hear the waves crashing, peaceful. The kitchen has everything you need. I suggest you buy groceries and bring them with you as there is only small stores in the area.

Positives: An easy walk to the beach; the broken coffee maker was quickly replaced; two bikesNegatives: The property wasn’t cleaned after the previous guests as evidenced by the stains in the toilet, piles of dog hair on the floor and sheets, and filthy floor that turned our socks black within minutes. The whole place is in dire need of a deep cleaning. There were bugs—pretty sure they were roaches. We are not near freaks, but we were really put off by walking into a dirty house. Although the situation was somewhat rectified, we were met with a lot of excuses like the house manager’s helper was responsible and no one has ever complained before. The helper returned and cleaned the toilet and vacuumed, but the floor remained so dirty that we never went barefoot. The light switches and baseboards were filthy and all the surfaces were dusty. The owner claims surfaces are disinfected between guests, but they weren’t even wiped. I had to buy cleaning supplies and donate cleaning myself.

Looking forward to a return visit.

Convenient walk to the beach. The owner even provided beach chairs and a cart. The bed was very comfortable, a must for me! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of space to work in. We loved the deck and spent lots of time out there. Cant wait for our next visit.

Really enjoyed the proximity to the beach. House was somewhat dated, but that was fine. We really ljked the deck - If weather had been warmer, we would have enjoyed the deck even more!!

Family Get-A-Way

We have never been to St. George Island before! Loved the island and our beach house! Short walking distance to the beach and lots of family time! No crowds on the beach the entire time we stayed! Enjoyed the beach house! Everything we needed was available to cook and sit back, relax and enjoy family time! We will be back!!!

This home was conveniently located to the beach but it could definitely use some upgrades from the furniture to the kitchen dishes, pots, pans etc. Outdoor furniture was rusty and worn. The oven appeared to be from the 70's and the towels were very ragged.

Convenient location

Overall good experience. This is a good bungalow home for a couple or family. It is a short walk to the beach and the owner provided nice beach chairs and a beach buggy. The kitchen has all of the necessary basics, the washer & dryer were handy, the outside area was convenient for washing off sand and washing the pets. The deck was large but not screened in.

Wonderful stay at Bucky's vacation rental

Cute and cozy little house, I would agree with the capacity of four guests. Worry free check in, that's a plus! House was clean, still had that cleaning smell when we walked in. Good cold A/C. House had everything we needed. Coffee maker is a keurig combo with kcup and the pot. Housekeeper/Manager is very nice! She stayed in communication with us during check in and check out. Short walk to the beach access. Was able to take my fur baby down to the beach with us. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in the State Park. The State Park is very nice though, we went one day out of our trip. Had a great time on St. George Island and would stay at Bucky's again!

Good location

This home is in a good location on the island. It’s an easy walk to the beach. The beach chairs provided are a nice addition, as is the outdoor shower, even though we didn’t use it. Grill worked well (bring charcoal). Beds are comfortable and A/C works well. Kitchen could use an update of cooking utensils. Oven is a wall oven and smaller than a conventional oven. Dishwasher is dated but works well, as does the washer and dryer. There was a bit of miscommunication about trash pick up so it would be wise to confirm pick up days. Overall, we had a really nice stay!

First the pros: Bucky was very friendly and helpful. We were even able to check into the house a day early. The house is very cute and the back deck is a great feature. The location is very nice and close to the beach. The house was clean when we arrived. Also, as others have stated, the home was very well stocked with amenities. Now the cons: Within just a couple of hours of arriving, we had found the end of a "joint" in a stand in the living room. and then 2 days later, we started to see random bugs in the home which turned out to be "German" and "Palmetto" cockroaches. We decided to leave early on Thursday morning and make the 16 hour drive home even though we had paid for the home until Saturday. I was not able to stay comfortably in the home & I was not willing to take the chance of transporting the bugs back to our new home. We vacation to the beach every year and have never had any issues with any type of bug, but this was our first time visiting this specific area, so maybe the bugs are common there? I honestly don't know. I did leave a note for the housekeeper regarding these issues along with a tip for her because as I had stated previously, the home was clean upon arrival so I don't feel that the bug issue was her fault. I read the reviews before I booked this home and they were all positive so maybe we just hit it at a bad time of year.
