Sounds of Summer

This lovely beach house was thoroughly enjoyed by our family. The location was fantastic. The beach was perfect with a big sandbar close by. The dolphins perform for us daily. Multiple blue crab sightings, as well as stingrays. The house could use more silverware and some updated cookware. Overall, we were very pleased with the home to enjoy this beautiful beach.

Family Favorite

Our family spent a fabulous week at this home on St. George Island. The home was the best equipped house we have ever rented and was perfect for all 10 of us. The location on the beach was perfect, especially with 4 grandchildren.

Lots of room and literally steps to the water

The house had tons of room - great layout that allowed us all to be together. So close to the water’s edge. Lots of bathrooms and bedrooms. Very clean. The house is beautiful but could do with a a little freshening of bathrooms. Overall great and we’d stay again.

SGI Plantation Does NOT Disappoint

This was our second spring break trip to SGI. Had awesome weather for the entire week. Being a few steps from the beach was great for the grandparents in the group. Took a fishing charter during the week in the bay and around Little SGI which was great for the kids. Would visit again!

Perfect location, large kitchen and family room. Bathrooms need update. Toilet in bedroom with double bed needs to be secured. Double mattress needs to be changed. No bath mats. Too many rugs for dog friendly rental.

Beautiful home and view

The house was super clean and comfortable! The view from the living room and the upstairs main suite is incredible. St George Island is my and my family's favorite area to vacation. It's quiet and low-key. It was the first time we had stayed in the plantations, and we will go back! The property management company is phenomenal, super easy to contact, and friendly. We had a minor issue, but they sent someone over right away!

Great Family Getaway

We had a great week at Sounds of Summer. Great location on a quiet beach only steps from the ocean. The house was very comfortably furnished and the kitchen was well stocked. TV options and wi-fi worked great. It was also great that the house is dog friendly- certainly added to the trip that our pups could join us. We look forward to our next stay!

Beautiful house and location

The house was very open which gave everyone space to relax together and a part. The beach was full of stings rays, dolphins, and shells. We had some rain so we didn’t get to fish much but even with rain this location was beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked which made cooking for 11 people go smoothly. The outdoor shower helped to keep the sand outside and not in the house. We enjoyed being away from the crowds and appreciated the more remote location. This was a wonderful family trip.

Excellent accommodations.

This property was posted as “new to the rental market” and has a few (very small) kinks to work out. The doors (main level to deck and water closet) are hard to close - I am guessing from settling or just age? The ceiling fan and light in the master bedroom worked sometimes and sometimes not. Very tiny issues and really not worth mentioning. Overall, the property was amazing- very roomy and comfortable for our family of five. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to rent in the Plantation.
