    Welcome to Shell Point!

    We invite you to relax and recharge old Florida style in a private Bayfront lot surrounded by natural vegetation and your own private dock on the Apalachicola Bay! This 2BR/3BA home sleeps 4 and features multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy and experience.

    The spacious, open living area with tall ceilings and decorative beams, has a large flat screen with Blu-ray player, Bose CD stereo and comfortable seating (sorry, fireplace is not available). The dining table offers dining with a gorgeous water views and the well-equipped kitchen shines with new stainless-steel appliances and natural lighting with tall windows and sky light. The nearby laundry room has a full-size washer/dryer.

    A bonus Bayside sunroom is a great space to lounge while enjoying the panoramic Apalachicola Bay views. The sunroom also opens onto the furnished Bayside sun deck where you can dine outdoors or simply sit and take in the sunsets.

    The large, Westside master bedroom has a King bed, flat screen TV w/ Blu-ray player and Bay views. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, double sinks and ample counter space.

    The Eastside guest bedroom with Queen bed also offers Bay views, flat screen TV w/ DVD player and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

    Ground level is a game room with ping pong table and full bathroom. Outdoor amenities include covered parking, gas grill, outdoor shower and complimentary water gear that includes 3 kayaks and 2 SUP boards!

    The private dock is great for viewing the local water life, fishing and launching your kayaks and SUP boards! Or simply sit and enjoy the natural setting. Please note, launching kayaks takes place at the end of the dock and can require some heavy lifting during low tide. Entrance into the Shell Point channel can be shallow and does not allow for boats to moor at the dock.

    Beach access is an easy 3-minute walk from the property and is just across the main road, Gulf Beach Drive. On your walk to the beach you will cross the 6-mile long bike path that leads back to the center of the Island where shops and restaurants are located or to the St. George Island State Park entrance which is only a 4-minute bicycle ride from the property!

Great place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will say this home was everything we thought it would be. The location on the bay was great as well as with a short walk across the street you were at the beach. Waking up every morning with the view from the bedroom window made it even sweeter. Loved having all needed cooking supplies as we did do a good bit of cooking. Would definitely stay here again. The only minor advice I would have would be to make sure guests are aware the directions to the beach access are on the wall in the laundry room. The emailed directions we received were a tad confusing. After seeing the visual on the wall in the laundry area it made way more sense. Either way we located the beach access without much difficulty. Thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home for our vacation.

We have stayed on St George’s island several times over the years. This was one of my favorite places. It was private, quiet and very convenient to the park.

Very relaxing, loved the sunroom. A greatview without the bugs biting! Home was well equipped.Beach access was super easy and close. Game room needs a little airing out. We enjoyed, was a nice relaxing week.

Wonderful vacation and wonderful home!

Shell Point is awesome! We loved the house!We will be returning to this property. Some family who rented another house came to visit us while we were at Shell Point. They liked the house as well. Need I say more?

Paradise!!

Perfect walking distance from private beach access. Shaded yard, beautiful bay view. Comfortable spacious home with all the amenities. We love coming to Shell Point and will definitely be back!

Absolutely perfect

The whole purpose of the trip was fishing. Our Son was able to fish on the private dock. Also just across the street was a lot/walk way to access the beach. The place was clean and very well equipped with all the amenities. Sunroom was amazing

Great time on St George Island

Wonderful house and location!

Absolutely fabulous vacation and stay at Shell Point! Awesome location and home on the bay, even better than the pictures. House was spotless and had everything we needed. Views were amazing. We had a great time kayak fishing in the bay and also enjoyed the beach which was just a very short and easy walk to get to. We rent on St. George most summers and this was the best house we've stayed at, and property managers were so thoughtful. Highly recommend!

A very beautiful place in a quiet location

The house is a very spacious place with awesome sun room overlooking the bay. The kitchen has everything you need for making meals. Also, the game room was an added bonus with ping pong table, darts and other games when its raining or at night. There multiple kayaks, a paddle board and beach buggy. We had a great time and will come back.

Awesome place!

We loved our stay at Shell Point. The house was clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen and the views of the bay were fantastic! Better than the photos on the website. The beach across the street was pretty and quiet and an easy walk. The property managers called to see if we needed anything - we didn't but it was a nice touch. We will be back!

Comfortable and inviting

Our stay was very relaxing with awesome views, comfortable furniture and spacious showers. The extras that were available to assist in my feeble attempt at fishing was definitely appreciated! Going in January isn’t the best time for that though . We visit the park a lot, so being close was convenient. January is a great time to look for shells and other free souvenirs on the miles of pristine breach.

Florida island vaca

Great house, great location if you’re looking for a quiet place. Dock in backyard is fabulous. Great sunsets every night from there! Beach is across the street. House is clean, 2 beds, 2 baths with terrific laundry room (washer an dryer ++). Sunroom off back of house nice for morning coffee and relaxing. Nice kitchen with wonderful farmhouse sink and updated appliances.

Rental company very good to work with ..we have used 3 or 4 others on SGI in 25 years. They are the best. Location on Bay and across from Gulf is perfect. House is a bit worn but very comfortable and spicy and span clean. It's easy to unwind and relax here. We love it!

Amazing! This was the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. I love that everything was laundered, including bedding and bathmats. The beds were very comfortable. But the location is what made this place incredibly special. Quiet and peaceful, with amazing views of the bay. The house was tucked into the trees with no visibility from the road- super private. We sat out on the dock and watched the fish jump for hours. The beach was just across the road. The kitchen is spotless too and well equipped for cooking. The trade off of this location is that it’s a short drive (or bike ride) to town - 3 miles. Worth the trade off! The bike trail runs the whole way, so safe and easy. In addition to enjoying the island, we highly recommend the town to of Apalachicola.

Better than beach front

When renting this property we were somewhat disappointed that it was not beach front but that was quickly replaced with thanksgiving. This property is off the road has a fantastic dock and is private with great views of the bay! There is an access to the beach directly across from it. We think our view of the bay area was even better than the beach view. The sunsets in mid September were breathtaking and we could watch from the comfort and privacy of our dock!!!

It was clean and well equipped. The weather was great and we enjoyed the beach. We ate dinner at Paddy's Raw Bar on the island twice! The food, service and setting was excellent. Visited the Island Dog; great gift shop! It was a great trip and we will definitely return!

We used the state park right by the house to launch our skis. The dock sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. It’s very peaceful to sit out there by the water. The interior of the home is a little dated. The Queen bed was very uncomfortable. The TV in the master bedroom is a bit tricky to use and the bedroom fan shuts off in the middle of the night. Overall we were very pleased with the ease of communication and the location of this property.
