The Space:

River Ridge Tiny House by Tiny Away in Opossum Bay, just 18 minutes from Clifton Beach, 44 minutes from Hobart, and 11 minutes from the breathtaking Goat Bluff Lookout. Discover more and unwind at the nearby South Arm RSL, where relaxation meets adventure. It’s the perfect blend of peace and proximity to everything Tasmania’s holiday homes have to offer.



This cozy 139-square-foot tiny home sits on a large paddock with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



IMPORTANT NOTE: As public transport is limited in our coastal countryside village, we highly recommend guests have a car for convenience.

Guest Access:

Guests can access to the tiny home and its surroundings, except for the land host's house and other neighbouring properties.



As caretakers, ensuring the privacy and peace of our guests is our top priority. In the event that our guests need help with maintenance and repairs, or medical attention, please contact us!



The Neighborhood:

River Ridge Tiny House by Tiny Away sits in Opossum Bay, just 5 minutes from South Arm, 18 minutes from Clifton Beach, and 44 minutes from Hobart. Enjoy easy access to nearby towns, beaches, and fishing spots.



Local gems include the peaceful Opossum Bay Jetty, perfect for fishing, the stunning coastal views at Goat Bluff Lookout, and the walking trails at South Arm Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy birdwatching and sea breezes. A little further up the road is Clifton Beach, a favourite surf spot on Hobart’s fringe, or you can soak up panoramic views from the South Arm Lookout.



In Hobart, stroll through the historic Constitution Dock, home to the iconic Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race finish. Enjoy fresh seafood, boutique shopping at Salamanca Place, and charming heritage buildings all year round.



Getting Around:

By car;



- 30 mins drive from Hobart Airport. All are 2WD accessible.

- 38 km drive from Hobart City, about 30 to 40 mins depending on traffic.



By public transport:



- Taxi and Uber are available, morning and afternoon bus service. Having or hiring a car is HIGHLY recommended.



Other Things to Note:

- Gas BBQ grill is available

- High chair is available upon request

- Outside pathway lamps are solar-powered

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- No smoking allowed inside/outside the tiny home

- Expect abundant wildlife may be present on the property

- Cereal, milk tea, coffee, and condiments are free of charge

- We have (2) friendly dogs that can be kept indoors if necessary

- Recycling/compost bins are provided to dispose of rubbish properly

- We would like to advise guests that longer check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Children are welcome under close adult supervision, including a safety guide sent prior to booking.

- Pets are allowed with a maximum of (2) per stay, subject to 24 hrs’ prior notice, and must be kept on a leash at all times. The full pet policy will be sent before arrival.



Important note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
