Oceanfront Cottage: Where Natural Beauty Meets Modern Comfort

  • The Creekside Cottage is a newly renovated, modern two-story vacation home situated on a park-like, six-acre oceanfront property known as the Seaward Estate. Historically, Seaward was one of five salmon trap sites along the Juan de Fuca Strait until the 1950s.

    Seaward offers a variety of stunning natural landscapes, including two beaches with thousands of feet of picturesque coastline, West Coast forest, and woodland trails. It remains one of the most exceptional oceanfront properties in the Greater Victoria Region. With real estate values steadily increasing over the past two decades, many high-quality oceanfront properties have been subdivided and redeveloped. A large, original oceanfront estate like Seaward—preserved in its natural beauty and historical integrity—is truly rare.

    The Creekside Cottage is located beside a small, natural creek and offers over 1,400 square feet of living space. The main floor features an open-concept layout with a living room, dining area, and kitchen. A south-facing wall of floor-to-ceiling windows provides breathtaking views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and the Olympic Mountains. A cozy patio offers outdoor seating, a dining table, and a BBQ for guests to enjoy.

    Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The first is a loft-style room with a king-size bed, open to the living space below, with windows facing south directly toward the ocean. The second bedroom features a queen-size bed and three windows—one facing south toward the ocean and the other two overlooking the gardens and ocean to the west. A full bathroom with laundry facilities is located on the second floor, and a powder room is available on the main floor. Additionally, a small attic space accessible from the second bedroom provides the perfect hideaway for young children. A sofa bed in the living room offers extra sleeping accommodations.

    A beach house on East Beach provides a place for children to play and adults to relax. Naturally, guests love spending time on the beaches. The East Beach features a flatter, pebbled surface, ideal for walking, while the West Beach offers giant rocks, hidden coves, and secret spots perfect for adventure. Many guests enjoy exploring the forest trails. Benches at the end of the Sunset Trail and Otter Trail are perfect for reading, wildlife watching, or enjoying a sunset. Others like to plan a picnic—whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner—on the picnic deck at the end of the Orca Trail.

    The Seaward Estate includes Rose Cottage (Vrbo 1333347), Rowan Cottage (Vrbo 1340568), and Creekside Cottage (Vrbo 2229506). Creekside Cottage is about 50 feet from Rowan Cottage and 200 feet from Rose Cottage. All cottages are oriented with windows facing the ocean. None of the cottages have windows that directly face each other, ensuring privacy for all guests.

    The creekside Cottage offers discounted rates:

    Weekly rate: $1,332.80 for 7 days ( from January 1st to March 15th only)

    Monthly rate: $4076.80 for 28 days ( from January 1st to March 15th only)

Great access to the beach, plus the views and landscaping were fantastic. Home was cozy and very well thought out with plenty of space for four adults. Would love to come back and stay again.

A private and peaceful paradise with all comforts and many thoughtful finishing touches for relaxed and enjoyable vacationing. Two storey windows frame an ever-changing oceanfront view. Access to a private beach and trails on the property. Lots of great walks and restaurants nearby. Kitchen is well stocked for adventurous cooks. A true gem of a place to be.

Creekside Cottage is beautifully built and thoughtfully decorated.The kitchen has everything and more! Cooking was a breeze, my box of essentials wasn't even opened. I made tiramisu in their bake ware because it was nicer than what I brought.The back yard is private, the trails are perfectly manicured, the lookouts are plentiful and comfortable, the view and the beaches are amazing!So going back :)

The view from the master bedroom was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. We loved the floor to ceiling windows and watching the ocean (and the sea lions) as we ate at the kitchen island. The grassy area included lovely wild flowers. We felt very welcome with our two golden retrievers. Ray, the caretaker, was warm and friendly and told us some history about the property. The kitchen was well equipped, clean and bright. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything was fantastic. You can tell the owners considered every detail to ensure the best guest experience. All details were easily accessible (wifi, location info, keys, etc). You truly feel hosted, not as if you are staying in someone’s income property. The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable, views fantastic, and our kids loved the beach clubhouse. We’re already figuring out when/how we can return! Thank you!

The cottages at Seaward are located on a beautiful property overlooking the straight of Juan de Fuca where forest and ocean meet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Creekside Cottage and look forward to returning.

Perfect for a city detox

We loved our stay at the Oceanfront property, everything was exactly as you see in the pictures, the small town of Sooke is perfect for all your essential needs, would not hesitate booking this property again, it was exactly what was needed for couple getaway
