Clean and friendly staff

I realize this hotel is situated close to UCB, but that’s doesn’t mean you should charge such lofty prices for dormitory rooms. The first room I was placed in was cramped with a flimsy bed, and an a/c unit that would’ve woken the dead. I requested a different room which the staff was accommodating. The second room was twice as large (more appropriate for the price I paid), however the toilet was positioned right next to the wall (not up-to-code and certainly not easy for someone with physical limitations), paper thin walls easily overhearing the neighbor’s conversation, a shower curtain that look like a resident dean decorated (it did not cover the shower tub), and some soiled furniture. Perfect for the casual hostel tenant. There is limited first-come-first-serve parking lot behind hotel, and since street parking is also not guaranteed, I made parking arrangements elsewhere. Minimal amenities i.e. small exercise room, and Henry’s restaurant that offered limited, slow paced food and service.
