"We loved this place. Laid back, comfortable and friendly. Sherrie the manager is an absolute gem! Good place all around, and the location is great as a home base for exploring the incredible Black Hills area. Cool town, too. Really happy with this choice! Late July, plenty of motorcycles everywhere, so it's gloriously noisy- don't be surprised by this. "

"Excellent location. Short drive to everything. Easy walk to downtown Hill City. Friendly staff, clean and nicely appointed room. I would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend."

"The property was a great base for touring Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, Needles! Close to everything. We could walk to restaurants. They had a very nice pool and hot tub. Everything was clean. The only downside was that the interior is dated in the condo and everything is a little dark. But it worked out great for us, and we were very pleased."

"This place was so unique and beautiful! My son loved the playground he wouldn’t leave it. It’s comfy and cozy! Has a wholesome family feel to it:), just absolutely love it! ❤️ we would absolutely stay here again! And I recommend to anyone with children who want and outdoor experience with a cabin, and a nice little quiet area! It’s organized, friendly, and clean! I think it’s a perfect stay for anyone. "

"Clean. Outside could use a new paint job but inside was clean, however the ac was making a funny noise but stayed cold. When I pulled the shower handle the spout came in and out of the wall. It wasn't secured. Needs a little love and we did have a centipede in the room one night but fortunately we saw it before we stepped on it! "

" K Bar S Lodge is fantastic! View of Black Hills is superb, rooms are furnished with excellent mattresses; reasonably priced meals in their cafe; very tasty complimentary breakfast buffet served in Gazebo with great menu options; gracious and friendly welcoming staff; 15 minutes from Mt Rushmore; Very Friendly guests week before Sturgis Rally! 'Little surprised' that guests are charged 18.5% on top of menu prices to pay salaries of wait staff. Then another tips is optional but...

"Room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was nice. The only issue was that the front desk was closed after 10pm so we were unable to get a blanket or anything else we may have needed after then."

"They reached out to us to make sure we had all our info for our very late self check in. The place was nice clean and SO quiet. We were in heaven, and sad we had to head out so early then next morning. We will for sure stay here when we come back! Thank you! "
