This charming, 2-story rustic mountain home provides a warm and cozy retreat, nestled in a peaceful forested area. The shared living spaces are ideal for relaxation and entertainment, featuring an inviting living room with an L-shaped couch, gas fireplace, and a 32” Smart TV for movie nights. The well-equipped kitchen, complete with a drip coffee maker and kitchen island with 2 bar stools, has everything needed for preparing meals, while the spacious dining room seats 6 with 2 extra chairs located downstairs. Outside, the deck offers a gas BBQ and a seasonal picnic table, perfect for dining al fresco. For entertainment, the home includes a foosball table, board games, books, and even bikes and kayaks for outdoor fun.

The 3 cozy bedrooms are thoughtfully designed for both comfort and convenience. On the main floor, the first bedroom features a queen bed along with a closet and dresser for ample storage. The second bedroom is ideal for kids or extra guests, offering a twin-over-twin bunk bed, an additional twin, and plenty of toys and games. Upstairs, the third bedroom includes a queen bed and a twin bed, making it perfect for families. Adjacent to this bedroom is an open loft area, complete with a twin bed with a trundle, a foosball table, and a dedicated workspace. The home also includes 2 shared bathrooms—one with a bathtub/shower combo on the main floor, and another with a shower upstairs—ensuring convenience for all guests.

Enjoy the best of mountain life from this quiet, tree-surrounded Tahoe vacation rental, just one block from beautiful Serene Lakes. Paddle through both lakes using the provided kayaks, or relax at the lower lake's beach, which has a picnic area, swimming, and a diving platform. This home is perfect for year-round adventure, with several nearby ski resorts, including family-friendly Donner Ski Ranch, Soda Springs, and Royal Gorge, North America’s largest cross-country ski area, which connects to Sugar Bowl for advanced terrain. Boreal Mountain Resort even offers night skiing. Explore numerous hiking trails, including one starting at the end of the road. In the summer, cool off at Donner Lake Marina or enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. Your ideal mountain escape awaits!

Getting Around:
The home is conveniently located just off HWY 80, allowing for quick access to surrounding areas. While there is no public transportation directly near the home, you can drive to the town of Truckee, about 20 minutes away, where bus routes will take you to Northstar Ski Resort, Kings Beach, and Tahoe City. With 3 ski resorts located within 5 miles, you can easily hit the slopes. For those seeking more urban amenities, both Tahoe City and Kings Beach are a 35-minute drive from the home.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.

Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

Very clean, well stocked, comfy beds. Great location.Only negative is the lighting--not very well lighted and so felt dark in evening and morning.
