"Check-in was great. The Castaway Cottage was just how it was listed. The back porch was the best part, it was big enough for the whole family to hang out. Unfortunately when we were there it was very hot and the ceiling fans on the porch did not work. Maintenance came to try and fix them but he could not. He even came back a second time to give us another remote control to try. It did not work either. He didn’t get it fixed but was very nice and was very prompt to come out and try and fix it. He...

"Overall great time. Lovely home, very spacious. Hot tub worked, access to river was easy. Fire pit is huge. Enough chairs for everybody, and we had a group of 12. Found clean but definitely needs a deep cleaning, the ceiling, under beds and couches, bathroom extractors and the washing machine smelled of mold. Maybe an update of AC units, we did feel hot during the day.Will vrbo in the future with this property. "

"Had an amazing family gathering! The house is really large, and accommodated us well. The layout makes the house feel a bit of a maze, and there is only one en-suite, but we found everything we needed! Two small issues- the top bunks in the 2-bunk room didn’t have railings so our kids were afraid to sleep up there, and the septic system caused some problem, but had great response from the owners and the maintaince personnel came out quickly. "

"The host, Jen, was super friendly. You’re literally right on her farm so you see her out and about regularly with the animals. My son loved being able to roam around and see the chickens, especially. The old 1800s cabin is super cool. Just an all around awesome time unplugging from the world and reconnecting with family. "
