The lower unit living area feels bright even on gray Seattle days, with natural wood accents, comfortable seating, and large windows that bring in the surrounding greenery. The dining table serves meals for six, and the kitchen is equipped for guests who prefer to cook and settle into daily routines. A coffee bar adds an easy start to chilly mornings.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms offer individual character and shared comforts, each with a bed, room-darkening shades, and clothing storage. Two rooms include a streaming TV, and one provides a dedicated workspace with office supplies. You're only a mile from the Northgate Light Rail station and a 5-minute walk to the Rapid Ride bus line. Hop on the Link Light Rail for a quick, affordable ride to UW, downtown, Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, or Sea-Tac Airport. It’s just $3.50 and trains run every 8 minutes—making your commute or game day a breeze.


Before booking, please review the house rules to ensure this home meets your needs. This is the lower unit of a two unit renovated home. Our peaceful home is part of a separated duplex, offering a private and comfortable space for you to enjoy and relax.

Each unit features its own entrance, as well as separate BBQ and outdoor living areas, ensuring you have plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. You’ll have all the privacy you need, while also enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the neighborhood, yard and creek. We have a shared yard for recreation & relaxation, dogs, and children. Additional pet fees and policies apply and proof of vaccination/flea & tick protection will be required prior to stay.

Thornton Creek is wheelchair accessible and we have provided a shower chair/toilet riser/grab bar for any disabled visitors with advanced notice.

We are dedicated to offering a comfortable and natural environment for all our visitors. Please note that some of our bedding contains down feathers, and our decor includes natural and cowhide elements. Because we are a natural environment, animals and insects are seen on occasion. We have professional, environmentally friendly, pest control services monthly.

We support eco-friendly, sustainable, and environmentally-considerate purchases and practices wherever possible. We forgo single-use items such as Keurig coffee pods, use Brita pitchers for filtered water, and recycle extensively.

Exterior cameras are at the front door of each unit and another overlooking the parking area. There are NO inside cameras. However, we do monitor for sound decibel levels, smoke, and number of people present.

Your Thornton Creek host is a registered nurse, and we are proud to offer patients of our local hospitals and their families lodging during necessary but difficult times. We are centrally located to the following medical facilities:

Great Place!

We had an extended stay here for a work trip. Kathy was very helpful and responsive. The place has all the amenities you need. We also enjoyed the trail and creek behind the house for a quick hike after long work days. Overall we highly recommend this place

Great Place for Family Away from Everything

Nice place away from the city but still only 5 minutes away from Safeway. Loved the location and interior. The creek was nice to venture out to. Loved having kid friendly dishes/cups. One minor complaint would be the upstairs nose is very noticeable especially in the early mornings. I'm sure it was not intentional but probably just the way the home was built.

Hockey tournament

We were in Seattle for a hockey tournament. We stayed with our family and one dog - what a great property! A perfect set up with the dog, we bbq’d, sat in the backyard with the firepit, walked along the creek and slept amazingly! Thanks so much for the great experience!

A great house in a very nice neighborhood. Very clean and extremely well stocked—they thought of everything we could possibly need! Lots of fluffy towels and beds were very comfortable. Host was very helpful and quick to respond. We will definitely stay again.

Great property just far enough away from the city to be an escape. Perfect amount on room and the personal touches to make our babies and dogs feel welcomed made all the difference. Hope to retirn again!
