"Nice home close to the lake. The house was clean and comfortable. Great place to stay for a fishing trip. The Hwy U boat ramp is 2 minutes away. Dea was quick to answer questions and check in was easy. We will definitely stay again. "

"My family of 8 came and stayed here for 2 nights while boating at Mark Twain Lake. We absolutely loved this house and it was so close to the marina. This house was very clean with extra supplies, soap, towels etc. and we thank you for that. The open concept with the garage was also a great hang out for my kids and the pond out front was used to go fishing with my daughter early morning. I wish we could of stayed longer. We will definitely be back next year."

"Comfortable home not far from Main Street. This lovely house has been restored with historic charm plus modern conveniences. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, and we would have liked to stay a little longer. Owners are extremely attentive to their renters and assist when needed. We enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood with so many stately old homes. Thank you for being pet friendly."

"Very nice place to stay. The vicinity next to the busy road, while a little unsettling at first, was NO problem at all. Convenient to museums and restaurants with easy walks. Something I comment with 90% of vacation rentals…..Kleenex??!! Why can’t a box of tissue be thought of by property managers? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Widow Douglas’ ."

" This was a perfect place for our "young-at-heart" girls' trip! The 4 bedrooms, (3 upstairs and 1 on the main level,) were great. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. The house has a lot of character with a huge dining room table, a large living room downstairs, a family room upstairs, and a nice little seating area at the back of the house, so there are lots of spaces to spread out. The downstairs bathroom has a nice shower, and the bathroom upstairs has tub/shower....
