  • RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



    Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #257A will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



    Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

It would be helpful if the association would install better lighting. A light by the coffee pot area and better lighting in the bathroom. I can accept that it is outdated but a few, relatively cheap improvements would be helpful.

Great location, pool area great and beach area fantastic! Love the close proximity to Anna Maria Island and close to a few restaurants. Wish there had been a chair or 2 in the room as the only place to sit was the bed or bar stool.

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect February getaway from the cold northern winter for my husband and I. The room was nicely decorate, efficient, clean, and best of all steps away from a spectacular beach! The office staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay easy and pleasant. We'd definitely come back!

Very relaxing! Beach not crowded. Easy check in and out. Clean and appreciated the availability of beach umbrellas and chairs. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wife and I enjoyed the great views and easy beach access. Location on the island was perfect. Just a short Bike ride either direction to plenty of fun things to do.

Weekend getaway

Great location, near restaurants and quiet setting right on the beach. Miniature golf on sight. Comfortable mattress, and enough amenities to allow for simple meals, snacks, and breakfasts. First time staying on Longboat Key. We plan to return!

Perfect spot on the beach

My husband and I just wanted a few nights getaway and this place was perfect. Beautiful beach. Unit was exactly as described! Honestly this place was prettier in person. We will for sure be back. Staff was also extremely friendly.

We love Silver Sands!

We got married on the beach at Longboat Key! So romantic and peaceful. Silver Sands is amazing, very clean and the pool is beautiful and so clean. Margaret at the front office is so nice and accommodating. This was our second year staying here but not our last! We love it here!

Quiet and relaxing

The resort was as advertised. Perfect size for my husband and myself. The office manager was very helpful and friendly. The resort has beach towels, beach loungers, beach umbrellas…very convenient for us. The beach is very quiet. The ocean was beautiful..full of wildlife. We loved being right on the beach.

A+ Will Stay Again!

We booked our stay very last minute and couldn't of been happier with our experience. Margaret was exceptional, give the woman a raise! The amenities were exactly what we needed for a one night stay on the beach, but we could have spent the week. My husband and I will absolutely seek out another trip to Silver Sands, no question.

Just a room- short bistro table with two stools & a bed. Small refrigerator and a few cups/utensils. While neat and just a few steps from the beach and pool, this unit does not have the screened in porch the others do (thus no beach umbrella)/place to sit) and I could hear everything going on in the neighbors adjoining unit. I did share that the shower drain needs unclogging. Also, housekeeping let themselves into the room ahead of the 11a checkout time while I was changing. I’ve had better stays at Silver Sands, but would still give a B rating because of the amazing location and friendly front desk staff.

Great Location

Quiet beach, within walking distance to restaurants. On the beach with great view of sunsets. Heated pool. While it lists a kitchenette, it included only microwave, toaster & mini frig.. i didnt like the fact i had to wash my dishes in the bathroom sink.

Great location great accommodation

I was looking for a place between Sarasota and Bradenton where I could be close to the water and it wouldn’t be too expensive. As luck would have it I found this unit on VRBO. It is clean it has many conveniences and best of all you walk out back and there is their private beach. I enjoyed every sunset. I look forward to staying here again.
