  • RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



    Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Peaceful and beautiful location

If you want a relaxing and peaceful location, this is the place for you. The place could use some updating on the inside but we were very happy with our stay. Will definitely be back here again!

There was some storm damage and erosion from the hurricane but it didn't impact our view or access. There were landscapers on site actively cleaning up the brush. Our unit was completely remodeled and sparkling clean.

We cant wait to go back!!

My wife and I had an amazing time in Longboat Key while staying at Silver Sands. Our unit was awesome the back screened-in porch had a path right onto the beach. Upon walking into the unit there was a nice clean smell. Everything was tidy. The room came with pretty much everything you needed for a nice getaway. I highly recommend staying in one of the two rooms that lead right onto the beach it was absolutely perfect. All of the staff was accommodating and very friendly. I also loved that the beach wasn't overcrowded in this area.

The cleaning fee is a rip off and a joke. There was food visible on the kitchen cabinets and behind the KT sink. Stove looked like someone spat on it! The sofa was so used it about swallowed us, the cheap LR chairs ugh! The bedding had pizza sauce on it & small dried up bugs!!!!!This is a fantastic location with sub par service. Step it up!

The kitchen in our unit was minimally equipped for doing our own cooking, but all the basics were there. The laundry facilities were clean and worked well, though you need to bring 8 quarters to run each machine. The heated outdoor pool was a nice plus.

The only thing that made our trip sour was the bed was so hard, my husband and I both woke up everyday with aching backs and hips. My daughter and her family stayed in another room and their bed felt amazing. For the top dollars that we had to pay, the bed was sadly inadequate.
