Family vacation with adult children
Awesome property and stay! The home is truly first class. This is the second time we stayed in this home and it is one of our favorites in the Seaside area. It appears outwardly very clean, however I found a giant cockroach ("Palmetto Bug") in my bed the first day and one also out on the outside deck area. I own a waterfront home in another state, so I am aware that pests can be an issue with waterfront property--so maybe this is a single isolated bug. Just letting you know so that you can address it if it becomes a recurrent issue. We did not see any others throughout our four night stay. The rental equipment was certainly NOT first class, which was disappointing when making arrangements at such a first class property. The bike rental company that you are using did not get me the combinations for the bike locks with the bikes' delivery; you did get me the combinations that evening, but it was after we had to cancel our bike-related plans for the first day. 2 of 5 of the bikes were basically useless due to maintenance issues that could have caused injuries. We left those 2 parked the whole trip. We will not rent from that company again. We visit Seaside annually and have never had any issues with bikes or rental companies there before. Your association with this rental company will give me pause in considering any future rentals with Stay30A unfortunately. The person from Stay30A was very helpful and nice whenever we had questions on arrival and departure.
