Welcome to "The Getaway on 30A" - our 4 Bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom home at Forest Lakes in Blue Mountain Beach.

LOCATION:

This is a charming home nestled between the longleaf pines of the Forest Lakes community in Blue Mountain Beach. This gated community is a stone's throw from Draper Lake - one of Florida's rare dune lakes - and a five-minute cart/bike ride from shopping, dining, and public beach access.

PROPERTY OVERVIEW:

The home's quintessential craftsman exterior is lined with over-hanging rooftops and rafter tails. As you step in from the spacious front porch, the partially-paned doors and large windows fill the open living/dining room with natural light. There's plentiful communal space with table seating for six people and an additional four stools at the breakfast bar. The living room comes with ample seating space and a 48" TV.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with upgraded stainless steel appliances, a gas range and hood, and all the cookware you'll need for your getaway. Down the hallway from the kitchen is the powder room and 1st-floor master bedroom, complete with a king-size bed, full en suite (walk-in shower and bathtub), and generously-sized closet space. The master also offers access to outdoor deck seating.

Bedroom two on the second floor offers a king-sized bed and en suite. Bedroom three also comes with a king bed and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bedroom three comfortably fits a king bed and a shower/tub combo in the jack-and-jill bathroom that connects through to the two twin bunk beds of bedroom four. Each bedroom comes with its own TV and closet space. The second floor also comes with a laundry room.

The exterior of the home features a spacious front porch, back deck, and side patio. There is off-road parking directly in front of the home, as well as space to park under the carport. The home is EV-friendly, and has a level 2 charger installed in the carport which is free for guest use.

AMENITIES:

The Forest Lakes community provides a gas grill and covered picnic area. The seasonally heated community pool completed an extensive renovation in March, 2021.

The home provides a six-seater golf cart, four beach cruisers, beach gear, towels (including beach towels), fresh linens, two pack-n-plays, cutlery, and cooking utensils.

You will find everything you need in the home to make the most of your time on the Emerald Coast. We offer a starter-supply of premium, eco-friendly guest amenities:

NOTES:

Unless you have specifically arranged for an early arrival time, please do not arrive at the property before your scheduled check-in time.

The home comes with a six-person golf cart and bikes for you to use. Please only park the golf cart at the property overnight. Only licensed persons over 21 years of age who have signed the golf cart liability waiver are permitted to operate the golf cart.

The primary guest must be 25 or older to rent this home.

Construction - This neighborhood - along with many others along the 30A - is growing, and as such there may be construction with attendant noise that may take place during your stay. By booking this listing, you acknowledge that you possible construction noise won't be an issue for you and that you understand that no discounts or refunds will be given for this reason.

Do not hang towels on porch/balcony railings. The HOA imposes fines on guests found to be doing so.

Three weeks at the property went by very quickly. Location was excellent, between the various centers of gravity along the Emerald Coast, with nearby access to the beach and local shops. The home was as advertised, and met our expectations and needs. The quiet streets and nice public spaces of Forest Lakes made it ideal for walks.

We had a wonderful time visiting this beautiful home! The home was just as described and the management company was incredibly responsive and helpful. The house is truly great for small kids, the amenities were perfect for us and we used the pack and plays, high chair and kids plates and silverware every day. The house is super convenient to the Gulf Place beach access and to Blue Mountain village. We would love to return!

Just got back from our vacation at The Getaway on 30A. We had a fabulous time - even extended our trip by one day because we didn't want to leave! The home was exactly what we needed - clean, comfortable as well as convenient to beach, neighborhood pool & restaurants. Loved taking morning bike rides with bikes provided! So happy we had the chance to enjoy this home and location!

We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, especially for Spring Break week. The morning walks with our dog was so enjoyable as well as the green space and beautiful lake view. The living room has been updated with a very nice sectional which made for plenty of seating. Large bedrooms and nice bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need. We will be staying here in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of our first time staying in the Santa Rosa Beach area of Florida. The rental process was hassle free, the home was every bit as wonderful as advertised. The community was warm and inviting, pet friendly, and close to everything. The local restaurants, shops and beach were spectacular. We are already dreaming of a return trip as soon as possible.

Love the location. Quiet community close to the beach and restaurants. When we arrived, the house was cold. Couldn't adjust the temp on the thermostat. When we called the rental agency we were told that the temperature could only be changed by the owner. They adjusted the temperature, but would have preferred to have control over the thermostat since there was a 30 degree temperature fluctuation while we were there. Also, the TV had Roku, but no cable. I was able to link 1 station by using our home cable provider. We have been traveling to the 30a for 20 years. Never had these issues before. That is why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

This was a second option vacation for us due to covid. We’ve come to Blue Mountain Beach for years but this was the first time in this particular neighborhood and house. I’m going to list my pros and cons for the property. Some things may sound picky, but hey, we all have our things. And these are things I’d like to know before booking. Pros: Coastal properties was very easy to work with and communicate. We worked with Jake mostly and he was awesome. They were running late on cleaning the property and he texted us with up dates and apologies. The house easily accommodated all 6 of us ( mom, dad and 4 daughters 17 to 3). The house was clean and pretty. Beds were comfy. The air conditioner was kicking’!! WiFi only went out once briefly. Keyless entry was nice. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The lake was fun to feed fish and turtles. We often had the pool to ourselves. The older girls made use of the bikes provided to ride around the neighborhood. The beach is about a 5 minute drive. The provided gas golf cart made trips to the beach super easy. There were beach chairs to take or could rent from the vendors on the beach. Several good restaurants near the house. Plus the bakery and creamery! Cons: There were only a few bath towels, wash clothes, hand towels and no bath mats. Sounds picky, but I basically washed towels the whole vacation. Same with one dish towel. The provided shampoo and soaps are in a generic refillable pump (which is nice) but I like certain brands, so if that bothers you, bring your own. The living room is small and not all 6 of us could watch tv or sit together. Teenagers didn’t seem to mind that! The couch has seen better days but was clean. Kids figured out the Tv better than I did. Maybe an instruction handout would be useful? Also it took a minute to figure out the fancy thermostats! But again the air was super cold :) Of course with 6 people getting ready at once, whoever was last in the shower often got a cold shower. Me, this would be me. The fire pit is a small stand alone Lowe’s brand wood burning thing. We didn’t use it, honestly mostly because of the 3 year old. There is not really any extra parking. We had to move our car every time to get the golf cart out. I will add the disclaimer that we did not cook so I can not comment about the kitchen. Keurig worked. Overall we had a great stay, loved the neighborhood, and would definitely come back!

Our family enjoyed our stay. It was a great neighborhood, quiet and safe. House worked well for our family. Great room and kitchen a little small for a big family. I would suggest a better seating arrangement for living area. We all could not sit together because there was not enough seating for 5 adults. (Would benefit from new LR furniture) Be careful coming down stairs. We had two adults missed the bottom step and fell. Could have been serious falls but were lucky. I left message that bottom step needs to be highlighted because it blends with floor and easy to miss. Just want people to be aware! Golf cart was a plus and nice to have chairs and toys to use also. Host was fast to communicate when we had questions. Overall it was a great stay! I would give it a 9|10 stars.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was minutes to everything we needed. Having the golf cart made it perfect to be able to pick the beach location we wanted or to be able to run to the market to get fresh seafood. The neighborhood was private and not crowded. The home was comfortable and we had everything we needed. We are coming back to stay here again in August. Thanks Jake for all your help!

There was construction workers beside us the first 3 morning.Didnt enjoy the hammering at 7-30 in the am.Then Thursday nite we had gas leak from the oven.Fire Department came.That was 130-230 in morning.Very disappointed.l think we need some of our money back .Because of the trouble gas leak and the interruption in the first 3 mornings of hammmering

Place was very cute! Very clean also. Was in a gated community with cobblestone driveways. Was very easy and much nicer than staying in a hotel. Loved being able to wash our bathing suits at night so we didn’t have wet sandy bathing suits to put on.

This property is ideal for families. I was not impressed with the cleanliness, just because we happen to need to move some beds to set up air mattress (kiddos wanted to sleep in the same room) and found multiple candy wrappers and plenty of dust, but besides that it was great. The location was amazing. Community pool saved our lifes :). The cute walking path and fish and turtles at the lake were an unexpected plus. Would def stay again.

The house was perfect for our needs. After driving 14 hours and receiving multiple emails stating 3pm check-in, could not access the house until 4pm. I am all in favor of giving the house cleaners ample time to do their jobs but property management could do better at communicating changes to check in and check out times.

We enjoyed our stay so much in Santa Rosa. The house was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The little community it is in was so nice and we were able to walk out the back door and be a short stroll away from a fantastic pool. We took a short drive to the beach daily to a dreamy beach with clear waters. We highly recommend the ice cream place that’s within walking distance. We may have gained a few pounds while on vacation. :) The owners were a pleasure to work with. We hope to be able to come back really soon!!

This was our 2nd time staying here and it was just as good, if not better, than our first stay. Our hosts left us some snacks and local goodies as a welcome back gift, and everything was as cozy, clean and comfortable as we remembered. Hosts were responsive and gracious. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone...especially families or groups of friends.

Wow! What a place! I promise the pictures don't do this house justice. Everything we could think of that we may have forgotten was in the house (board games, extra towels and linens, beach chairs and toys, even a pack and play for two infants) The place was incredibly spacious and REALLY CLEAN. The Kitchen was very well equipped, the bedrooms are very spacious, the open concept was great for family nights. The amenities cannot be by topped of by a hotel. The pool is within steps from the house and the beach is less than a mile away. Diane was extremly helpful and responsive to any of our questions, it felt like we have known her for years! My family was beyond impressed with the house and the host that they have expressed their desire to stay at the house in the future. A few months ago when we began to search for a rental home we made the ultimate decision based on the reviews and I cannot stress enough how fortunate we were to come across this home. Diane thank you so much for the personal touch! My family and I will ONLY be booking this place when we return to Santa Rosa Beach.

What a perfect setting for a family Spring Break. A quiet, beautiful gated community with a pool, great neighbors and a short distance to the beach. Our 4 adults and 3 kids had more than enough space and loved the premium qualities of the home. Our hosts were responsive and happy to help, but easy going and not intrusive. Near the end of our stay we booked an extra night and the hosts were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
