Mission Bungalow

For the guest that enjoys exploring downtown Santa Barbara, this lovely 1920's Craftsman style home is in the ideal location! Just one mile from the popular Santa Barbara Mission and Rose Garden and only four blocks to shopping and restaurants on State Street. Or, you can enjoy some of the local favorites at the neighborhood pizza , coffee and ice cream stops just around the corner! As for the beaches, they are only minutes away by car.

Whether you are visiting for the weekend or for a longer stay, you will find all that you need to be comfortable in this fully updated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, ideal for sleeping 4 people. This bright and spacious home features crown molding throughout and an open floor plan. Enjoy a large kitchen with granite countertops, custom cherry cabinetry and a peninsula with built-in wine and beverage refrigerators. It is fully equipped with modern appliances and all of the necessary culinary items needed for cooking and dining at home. There is even a built-in space for work if you just cannot leave the office behind.

Adjacent to the kitchen you will enjoy a spacious living room with a gas-burning fireplace, flat screen TV, comfortable seating, and air conditioning (which can be very difficult to find in Santa Barbara).

The master bedroom features a king size bed and has a large closet with custom organizer and a remodeled bathroom with dual vanity sinks. The guest bath also features two sinks and a tub/shower combo. The guest bedroom looks out over the private front yard and has a queen size bed.

Through the back sliding patio door of the kitchen you will find a large grassy lawn and an expansive deck, perfect for sitting in the sun or al fresco dining. Vibrant tropical landscaping highlighted by low-voltage lighting and mature hedges create a peaceful oasis. For ease of use, two off street parking spots are accessed via a back alley.

This cottage is centrally located to everything Santa Barbara has to offer which is key for your vacation enjoyment. You will want to make this your destination to come back and visit with family and friends exploring all that Santa Barbara has to offer in this inviting home away from home!

Fantastic place

My 89 year old mother and I stayed so we can have visits with her 86 year old brother. It is a perfect location and very conducive for elderly adults. My mother very much enjoyed the back porch, house being one-level, and each room having its own bathroom worked perfectly.

Great spot

It was wonderful. Easy to walk around, and even to the city center. Well equipped. The deck/patio was a real asset, and so pleasant. The yard was thoroughly enclosed and private--great for our little dog. We loved it, and hope to return.

Great Stay!

Beautifuly maintained home with a bonus relaxing oasis outside. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything needed prepare meals. The property is a solid 1 mile walk from downtown but still worth leaving the car in the driveway. Would definitely book again. My only recommendation would be to add lighting above the dining table as the room doesn't get much light and is very dark in the evening.

Beat the heat getaway

We left Phoenix at 119° to arrive at Santa Barbara with a cool 72° forecast. The deck was our hangout at the house. Very private and lush. The house was well stocked with everyday items. This location is amazing for ease of getting around. The off street parking is a must in Santa Barbara. We will defiantly be back for another stay.

Cozy Bungalow in Santa Barbara

Comfort and close to it all in Santa Barbara, dog loving community

We loved the neighborhood, the vibe, the accessibility by walking to amenities, our dog was welcomed,. Our month stay made us realize it just wasn’t enough time! The weather was almost always sunny, and except one torrential rainy day, we just put on a rain coat and hiked or biked in comfortable weather. Oh, the ocean , the hills, the art, the wine,did I forget the wine? Only 1 day out of the month we stayed in but for 29; so it was perfect.

The Best Rental Ever!

My family and I have stayed at more than a dozen rentals over 10 years and this Mission Bungalow has been the nicest. From cleanliness to kitchen necessities, everything was top notch! Only tip of the line products were used. Great linens. Name brand paper products . You will feel no quality

Beautiful Bungalow

Very happy with our stay at the Bath St. Bungalow. Open concept from living room to large kitchen. The landscaping made the front and backyard feel secluded. Plenty of seating on the back deck. Viki, from Vacation Rentals of Santa Barbara, was very nice and helpful. Would visit again.

Awesome stay in Santa Barbara!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Incredibly well stocked home! Beautiful fixtures. Beds were awesome and great pillows! Amazing deck out back to relax (great for our grand dog as well). And 1 block walk to McConnell’s ice cream!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, well equipped, and in a good location. Just be aware that this is run by a property management company. They have strict check in and check out instructions and were somewhat difficult to communicate with.

Attractive, very clean and private.

A friend, my dog and I stayed at this house for 3 nights. A “get out of LA” hiking excursion. The house is bigger than the pictures suggest. The property has a beautiful, shaded garden that is fully fenced in front and back. The two bedrooms are at opposite sides of the hallway, offering privacy. Each room has a bathroom available to it. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was is good shape, although we didn’t really cook. The house and grounds were immaculate. The heater worked well. The two, large TVs were easy to use and offered premium cable channels. The property is well thought-out. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We were really so impressed! One warning for people who are very sensitive to outdoor sound - it is on a busy street. Most of that noise is blocked by high fencing and vegetation. It has its own, generous parking area in the rear of the property. I look forward to staying here again.
