Authentic Mid-Century Modern home at the quiet end of a family-friendly street. Filled with sunshine from floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to the tropical backyard with a fire pit, lounge area, and outdoor dining space. Centrally located—just 10 minutes to downtown Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara harbor and pier, or out to UCSB. Less than 10 minutes to Arroyo Burro Beach and only 3 minutes to upper State Street shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, La Cumbre Plaza, and the Santa Barbara Golf Course. This home is also close to the 154 which accesses the Santa Ynez Valley wine country—30-40 minutes away.

Thanks Brenda for everything you did for us.You were an outstanding host.Your home was perfect for us as a couple and very comfortable for us when we had our two grandkids with us for the last 2 weeks.The house was imaculately clean and the back yard was very inviting especially in the afternoon when it stayed perfect and cool on the hot days. The house was located very centrally for our trips into the center of Santa Barbara and also for the beaches in Goleta and it seemed like it was about 10 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go.

Weddiing week!

Outstanding stay to celebrate family wedding week. Clean and well appointed. By far the most complete kitchen of any rental I’ve stayed. Relaxing backyard space. The house description was accurate and spot on. Great communication with the host.

From the moment we arrived, everything about this rental was easy! The interior is gorgeous and clean, the exterior is lush with foliage and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the Santa Barbara weather. In addition, Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay. Would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing!

Clean, spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds and linens! Beautiful well decorated home with amazing landscape and outdoor sitting areas Kitchen is good and has absolutely all the cooking utensils you need to prepare gourmet meals! Knives are all sharp, more than enough kitchen towels and wash clothes. Big refrigerator that works well with temperature controls. it does not freeze food like some refrigerators we have had at VRBOS Home is on a very quiet street in a beautiful safe neighborhood. Home is located away from major roads - so no road noise is heard! Brenda, the owner, is amazing and responds immediately! We ran out of toilet paper and she was so kind to drop 3 more rolls off to us! She has binder made up that gives you absolutely all information you need about house and how to operate it. Brenda also has recommendations of places to eat at - which we tried a few and she was absolutely right!!! I would highly recommend this amazing clean property when staying in Santa Barbara with this very responsive and caring owner!!!

Escaping midwestern winters

We love Chicago but a 3 week break from winter is a requirement. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Santa Barbara and Casa de Sol. The house lived up to its name - there was plenty of sunshine. It is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to beaches, downtown, shopping and restaurants. Very relaxing!

Lovely spacious home. Very chill feel. Short 5 min drive to everything.

Great end of street home, spacious, with a great cozy feel. The gas fireplace was super, creating a great cozy feeling. Home is a short drive to downtown and few mins drive to local shops, restaurants, very convenient location. We also took a hike in the mountains not too far away. Nice outdoor space also with a fire pit.

Quiet neighborhood close to everything

We completely enjoyed our stay at Casa del sol. Brenda was very accommodating and easy to contact. Loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere! The backyard was perfect for sitting with our morning coffee. We will definitely be back again, we all had a great time!

Wonderful stay & host

We very much enjoyed our stay. Brenda is very hospitable and communicative, and the house is comfortable and very cute. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable, and the back yard is large, adorable, and great for hanging out. The house is easy to find, and parking in the driveway is hassle-free. Quiet neighborhood, and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend!

Klasse Haus im Vorort von Santa Barbara

Wirklich schönes Haus. Brenda ist Agent und Eigentümerin in einer Person. Die Anweisungen sind etwas füllig und umfangreich, aber beinhalten keine Überraschungen. Check in und out waren problemlos. Sehr ruhig - ganz am Ende einer Sackgasse.

Great Location!

We had the opportunity to stay at Casa del Sol for a family vacation in the summer of '24. This location was great! Very close to downtown Santa Barbara and the pier, but also central to other attractions/cities in the surrounding area. Easy access to/from the 101. The home is well sized and fit me, my wife, and my 3 teen to adult children with room to spare. There is a fire pit in the backyard that we gathered around and made s'mores. The kids also really liked the hanging chair in the living room. A couple things to know, there are lots of big windows which is nice to enjoy the views, but it lets in a lot of light in the morning. The host thoughtfully left eye masks in the bedrooms to help ensure a restful sleep. Also, because of the vaulted ceilings in the living room, the a/c had a hard time cooling down that area of the house, but there is a ceiling fan that helps with air circulation - we found the right settings between the fan and the a/c to keep that room cool without making the rest of the rooms freezing. Make sure to play around with that. We had an opportunity to meet the host, Brenda. She was very sweet, gave us suggestions on things to do, and even made a point to bring us a local publication so we could see what all was going on in town. All in all, we had a blast on our trip! Being in a comfortable space made the trip that much more enjoyable. Definitely would recommend for other travelers.

Beautiful House

The house is a beautiful mid century home in a nice neighborhood. The beds and couches were comfortable, and the backyard was nice for hanging out. Brenda made sure that everything was working and that we had everything that we needed. The house manual was thorough and had a lot of good recommendations.

Great House With a Great Host

The house is beautiful with a great backyard to lounge in, centrally located and close to just about everything. Brenda was a fantastic host, she provided us with some great recommendations (especially Demetria), and gave us simple check in / out instructions. Would love to stay here again!

Perfect Santa Barbara Hideaway

We were blown away by the location and privacy of this property! There is plenty of outdoor space and beautiful landscaping. It’s quiet, yet centrally located in Santa Barbara. Having several grocery stores nearby and a well equipped kitchen was great!

This vacation home is tucked away in a quiet Santa Barbara neighborhood. The house is clean, light filled, simply decorated and within a few driving minutes of shopping and Hendri’s Beach. Our stay was lovely and we highly recommend this vacation home.

Lovely Home In Santa Barbara

Beautiful, peaceful, well-equipped home!

Loved our stay at Casa del Sol. Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, the mid-century gem of a home was perfect for us. The furnishings were simple and elegant, with a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed sitting in the private backyard. Location is central, and easy to get to beautiful beaches and hiking areas. We look forward to returning someday!

Short stay

Stayed here with my girlfriends for a short visit. Place was wonderful and had most everything that was needed. Great spaces for us to sit and chat. Would have been nice to have a dish towel to dry dishes. Otherwise perfect.
