Montegonfoli 1 "THE ONE," is the flagship apartment of our "AGRITURISMO MONTEGONFOLI", a charming village of farmhouses dating back to the 17th century. Montegonfoli is located in the countryside of San Gimignano, on one of the highest hills in the area. That offers a unique position dominating the entire landscape, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view. The location, the view and the panoramas are undoubtedly our greatest assets.

The ancient farmhouse, renovated with care and respect for tradition, houses seven large apartments, among the most spacious in the area, with surfaces ranging from 60 to 95 square meters. The property extends over 23 hectares of land, including vineyards in Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi, as well as olive groves with about 1000 olive trees, fields of wheat, sunflowers, rapeseed and an enchanting forest crossed by a small stream, perfect for excursions without having to take the car or leave the property. On the edge of the forest, a picnic area awaits our guests for moments of relaxation in nature.

Despite the tranquility that surrounds us, we are only 3.6 km from the center of San Gimignano, offering the best of both worlds: the peace of the countryside and the convenience of proximity to the city. Our neighbors run a riding school that organizes excursions on horseback through the surrounding countryside and forests. There are two restaurants within walking distance, while within a few minutes' drive we have suggestions for dozens of wonderful places, for every type of budget. In addition to San Gimignano, by car or bike you can reach other wonderful villages and attractions in the area (Certaldo Alto, the wonders of Poggibonsi, Colle Val d'Elsa, Monteriggioni, the SPAs of Gambassi and Rapolano Terme and much more! ).

Although we are new to this platform, our experience in hospitality in these farmhouses began over 25 years ago, we have hosted and hosted people from all over the world who have described Montegonfoli as one of the best destinations ever reached on all their travels. As Montegonfoli is located right in the center of Tuscany, it is also ideally located for short trips to any destination in the region. Siena, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Volterra, Cortona, Arezzo, Monteriggioni, Montalcino, Pienza, Asciano, Val d'Orcia, to name just a few, are all within an hour's drive! Montegonfoli 1 "THE ONE" is an apartment that stands out for its unique features. With an area of ​​95 square meters, it offers large indoor and outdoor spaces, including a terrace with panoramic views of San Gimignano and a terrace with spectacular views. Privacy is guaranteed at the highest level, thanks to the division of the house into two semi-apartments connected by the terrace. Each semi-apartment has an independent entrance, a private bathroom with shower/bathtub and bidet, and a living room with a well-equipped kitchen. One of the living rooms is very spacious, with an oak table for 8-10 people and a 32" LCD TV with DVB-T reception. The WIFI connection covers both semi-apartments. In short, if you want to be together, you can be together whenever you want, privacy is absolute.

Guests of "THE ONE" can use the shared facilities, including a large 13x6m double-depth swimming pool, one for children with a depth of about one meter, a barbecue area, a laundry room with washing machine and area to hang out the laundry, and a 23-hectare garden. Parking for cars and motorbikes is free.

Thanks to its configuration, the "THE ONE" apartment is perfect for two couples of friends or for families with teenage children, while it may be too big for families with small children (if a child cries or calls at night, the apartment is so big that you may not hear it!).

"THE ONE" is a first-class apartment, but not a luxury apartment: the furniture is like in a normal Tuscan country house, and since the normal climate does not require it (the normal evening temperature in July/August is around 14-15° C), the accommodation is currently not equipped with air conditioning. In recent years we have also been hit by African heat waves, with some very hot days, and we have added a series of fans and mosquito nets on all windows to be able to air the rooms without letting insects in. Being on the hills, mosquitoes are not a constant presence, it depends on the climate and rainfall, but it is always better to have a deterrent in your suitcase to use when necessary.
We are usually closed during the winter. The apartment has gas heating for cooler days, but heating is not included in the rental rate. With milder autumns and springs, you may only need it occasionally. We provide a small amount of gas for free, and since the apartment is yours to enjoy like a home, you can decide if, when, and how much to use. Any usage above 1 m³ per day is charged separately.
