“Wait-n-Sea” this adorable beach box, located oceanside

“Wait-n-Sea” is newly remodeled. This adorable oceanside beachbox is a short walk to the beach. Located in the best neighborhood on Hatteras Island. With wide streets it offers ample room for walking the dog, strollers, jogging, or bike riding, you can go two miles in a big loop and never go out on highway 12. Salvo is a peaceful little village where you can relax, unwind, and let your troubles float away. The home offers a large open concept living, dining, and remodeled kitchen featuring a 10' peninsula excellent for entertaining. Enjoy your morning coffee at the breakfast bar or take it outside rocking on the private screened porch. Down the hall you will find 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 remodeled bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and an attached master bath. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, while the third bedroom features two sets of bunk beds. The home has 4 TVs, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. Each TV is equipped with Roku to make streaming via your favorite app simple and easy or watch cable via the spectrum app. The house is fully concreted bellow with an outdoor shower, park grill, and space to park a small vehicle. Don't worry we haven't forgotten about Fido as are home is equipped with a dog pen to provide them with their own outdoor space.

The property was clean and welcoming, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very thoughtful and kind. They left a very nice gift card for us to enjoy at a local business, alo ng with a kind note. The weather was not good for part of our stay. The hosts had puzzles, games, and a comfortable environment for us to enjoy during the storms. We had a very nice vacation in Salvo/OBX.

Family Reboot

After a stressful 2024 we decided a week in Salvo was just what we all needed. Myself, daughter, son, granddaughter, sister and my dogs stayed at Wait & Sea for a week. It was wonderful! The care and thought the owners put into making a stay there delightful was much appreciated. The decor, color coordination, comfort of beds, location of home with easy beach access, cleanliness, communication with owner…..I could go on and on. It had everything we needed. There is a small gated area for dogs and they even had bowls and poop bags for their 4 legged guests. I would give it 20 stars!

Wonderful vacation home

This property was absolutely everything and more than was advertised. Clean, well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal with, convenient to restaurants, stores and the beach. Wonderful place. We will be back!

Great quiet place in OBX

We had a great time at our stay in Salvo this week. The house was in a quiet neighborhood. Beach access was pretty easy, just 3 minutes walk down a street with barely any traffic and another 5 minutes across the dunes. The beach wasn’t crowded and had great waves. Loved it!

OBX vacation

Sweet beach house with all that is needed for a fun beach week. Easy short walk to the beach and an outdoor shower to wash off the sand before going into the house. We had a great week relaxing in the sun.

wonderful stay at Wait 'N Sea, Salvo, NC

We loved our stay at Wait 'N Sea in Salvo. The home was remodeled recently and it was very, very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the entire home is tastefully decorated and aesthetically pleasing. We loved the screened in porch and appreciate so much how this home is so well cared for by the owners. We appreciate this home being pet friendly as well so thank you! The walk to the beach is just fine. This is a great neighborhood and is our 3rd year staying here but first time at Wait 'N Sea. We look forward to returning in 2024. We have stayed in other rentals managed by a property management company but nothing really compares to staying in a home that is well cared for by the owners. No one takes care of a place better than the owners! Thank you Chris and family. Excellent job!

Yearly Beach Trip #14

The property was great and the neighborhood was really nice and convenient to the Ocean as well as the Sound side Beach. The weather was mostly cloudy the entire week. What made it worse was the King Tide, which I had never heard of before. The Ocean over wash caused the roads to flood. I won't drive my car in Ocean Water so we were not able to go to Ocracoke and ended up leaving a day early due to a Dune Breach at Pea Island and the threat of additional flooding. Definitely would stay at this house again! I will be sure to check the King Tide Dates before I plan my next trip!!

Everything was as advertised. Property owners are super friendly. Neighbors were nice too. 5 min walk to the beach made it easier for multiple trips. Super close to the Salvo Day use area on the sound.

5 Stars - You Wont Regret!

Great stay. Highly recommended. Place was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Everything was as described (honestly even better than the group expected). Chris is a wonderful host. Excellent communication. We very much appreciated the helpful emails prior to our stay and enjoyed the sweets delivered on our first morning. Short walk to the beach in a great location. 5 stars all around! I honestly have no negatives to report, but I will give a heads up that there are cameras on the property (outside of course) aiming at the driveway. No attempts were made to hide the cameras, but I thought it worth adressing as this may bother some guests. Thanks again Chris; we will certainly consider booking here again next year!

Just the house we needed

This house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner was great letting us know everything about the property and helpful information on the area. Loved the neighborhood and the easy access to the ocean front. It was always a beautiful and easy walk to the beach and we also had close access to a 4x4 beach access. I loved the screen porch, enjoying my morning coffee and the very thoughtful fresh pastries the owner sent to us. You can’t go wrong with this property. Our week went by MUCH too fast that’s my only complaint. 😉

Perfect spot to forget the rest of the world

Property was as described. Very clean and well equipped. Very cozy and homey feel with everything to prepare gourmet seafood meals. Conveniently located to the beach, close to ORV beaches and sound access for paddle boarding. This was our 3rd time in this neighborhood and we keep coming back.

Perfect Location

This house was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped and sitting on the screened in porch was peaceful. My family and I enjoyed riding bikes on the quiet streets and our walk to the beach was easy. The owners are quick to respond to emails and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Salvo is now on the top of my list for one of my favorite places.

Wonderful beach home

We had a wonderful time at the beach house. It is located within walking distance of the beach, close to stores (but not too close), and is equipped with everything you made need. The kitchen/dinning area is great for entertaining and the screened in porch is perfect for watching the storms roll in or out to sea. This is truly a wonderful 3 bedroom beach house with hosts that are responsive and quick to adapt if possible. We will continue to visit in the near future.

amazing OBX stay!

This is one of, if not the nicest rental property I have stayed in for a vacation. Everything was lovely, clean and comfortable. We were most impressed with the kitchen which was clearly updated and had everything you could possibly need, good quality cookware, dinnerware, everything. It was a blessing and a treat to have our dogs come with us and all of the dog friendly extras were greatly appreciated as well. Great outdoor shower and a very reasonable 10-ish minute walk to a nice private feeling section of beach. The delivery of fresh (still warm!) pastries one morning was a great touch. Thank you so much! We will be back :)

Lovely house and great location
