Welcome to your oceanfront vacation at Besito del Mar in Salvo. With 6 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, 1 half bathrooms, game room, private pool, hot tub and direct access to the beach behind the house, your family will have a comfortable and memorable vacation.

The top level of the home includes the kitchen, family room, sitting room, king master suite, half bathroom and hot tub on the deck. The sitting room has a pocket door and can be conveniently used as an office. The middle level boasts a king master suite, a queen master suite with handicap friendly walk-in shower, two guest rooms that share a hall bathroom and a laundry room. The lower level includes a bedroom with two bunk beds, a game room with pool table and tv and a full bathroom. Step outside to the private 14 ft x 28 ft pool with available heat or take the path behind the house and over the dunes directly to the beach. Rinse off after your day at the beach in the outside showers.

All levels are conveniently accessed by elevator and a ramp provides entry into the ground level door.

Maximum two housebroken dogs allowed. No other pets permitted.

TV streaming service provided. No cable TV.

Fireplace is decorative only and not for guest use.

Pool season is:
- 2025: 3/30 - 11/9

Hot tub season is:
- 2025: 3/30 - 1/4/26

Pool heat is $600 per week. Please contact host to purchase pool heat. Note that during times of extremely low temperature or high wind, pool may not heat to what tenant believes to be an acceptable temperature. No refund will be given due to adverse weather conditions. Pool heat requested on check-in day or later will be subject to additional convenience fee.

Sheets, bed making (minus top bunks) and bath towel sets are provided for all stays. Bath towel sets are provided for the number of people indicated in the reservation, and each set includes a bath towel, hand towel and washcloth.

Guests to furnish their own cleaning supplies, paper products and beach towels. A starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap is provided to guests.

There are a pack 'n play and booster seat available in the house.

This home has a Sunday turnover and requires weekly rentals in high season. There is a keyless entry. Guests will receive a Welcome Guide from VRBO via email 3 days prior to check-in with their access code.

NOTE: Your safety matters. This property features an exterior security camera facing the driveway. It does not look into any interior spaces.

Location was great and just what we needed to escape from our busy lives. We loved that it was only a short walk to the beach. And the great room with the big windows gave endless views of the ocean and dunes.

I just spent a week at Besito del Mar and it was everything we hoped for and more. The house is huge and well thought-out six bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, with an elevator and ramp so that getting around is super easy. The kitchen has plenty of space and tools, there’s a game room downstairs, a hot tub up top with great ocean views, and a private heated pool that was a total hit (especially on cooler mornings). The walk over the dunes to the beach feels effortless, and having an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand makes a big difference.Everything inside felt clean and comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches: streaming TVs, strong WiFi, lots of places to lounge with a book, and decks where you can watch the sunrise or just relax listening to the waves. The host was responsive, friendly, and took care of little things right away. If you want a beach house that combines luxury, accessibility, space, and that peaceful salt-air vibe, this place hits the mark.

This was our second stay and we had a wonderful week. The house is set up well for several families to have their own space and we love the location in Salvo. Also the walk through the dunes to the beach is not as rigorous as in other locations. The home is very comfortable but beginning to need a little tlc. I wish we had asked for the pool to be heated as it was a cool and windy week, so would recommend that if you travel there outside the summer months. We will definitley return!!!

Check in was smooth and easy. The kitchen was large, but when they say there are no cleaning supplies, they mean it. No sponges, towels, nothing. The house had ample room and we were all comfortable. The queen en suite was accessible but the shower curtain was a foot too short and water poured out onto the floor every time you showered and there were minimal towels and no bath mat. The dining room table was large enough to seat 10, but it had some kind of sticky shellac on it. We washed it multiple times, but out. napkins, glass cups and game pieces all stuck to the table. The elevator was a huge plus for our 82 year old mother. The extra room was perfect for our puzzle. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and beach almost every day. Can't beat those things! The views from every deck were also spectacular. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful stay!

Our family ranging from 1 to 76 years old had an amazing time! The access to beach was very convenient. The pool and the hot tub were an amazing plus. Look forward to coming back again.

The house was plenty big enough to accommodate our families and the pool was a lifesaver since the ocean was still cool. The only drawbacks we experienced were that the dishwasher was small and did not clean dishes thoroughly even on “heavy” and prerinsing. The grill was also tiny for a house this size and would be a suitable size for a cottage accommodating 4. A stand alone ice machine would also be nice as we went through a lot of ice with 8 of us, the freezer had a hard time keeping up. The owner was extremely responsive when we had issues with the heat temperature of the pool, though it did take 3 days to actually work.

Exceptional celebration

Though the weather was a bit rainy the amenities made this an enjoyable stay. With the pool table, easy beach access, pool/hot tub, and a well equipped kitchen we were able to celebrate my daughter and her friends graduation comfortably with a lot of great memories. Pet friendly is always a plus for our fur baby.

Location and elevator were great! Big enough for our whole party and adaquate space (could use some more deck chairs ). Didn't have bath mats until delivered by Walmart. Grill was in disarray and extremely hard to cook on. Fridge would not keep food cold or freezer items frozen. Screens missing in quite a few windows. Air conditioner kept misfiring and had error codes on thermostat. It was unable to keep the top floor cool. It was around 80 degrees most of the time and once you had to cook in the kitchen, it was miserable. Location and elevator were great, but house itself needs a much needed TLC.

Beautiful home, wonderful stay!

This house was gorgeous and spacious, great for large groups with plenty of space to gather. Even better than the clean and charming interior was the view of the sea over the dunes. The entire top floor looks out to the glittering Atlantic, just visible over the natural beauty of the dunes. Our hostess Joanne was attentive and responsive and just lovely. We had a magical week!

Great house!

Great property in Salvo NC! Great for all ages (4 to 90 y/o!). Jacuzzi, pool, and elevator drew us to the house. Beach was a short walk over the dunes. Host was quick to reply to any questions!

Peaceful Beach Hideaway

The property offered us more than enough space for our family of 4. The choices between the hot tub, heated pool, and ocean were perfect for every outdoor temperature and mood. A gem was the Waves Market Deli (walkable distance from the house) for gourmet sandwiches and huge wine selection. Joanne was very responsive and helpful. I suggest a walk on the Rodanthe Pier and coffee at Waves Coffee & Candies Shop.

Beach Holiday

We had a great time at the outer banks. The house was located far enough from busy Kill Devil Hills to be quiet and relaxing and close enough if we wanted to head into town. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

It is a great house in a great spot!

Three 50/60 something couples (with two dogs) got together for our annual reunion. Mid-October 24. The house did great for our event but would work well for a family trip as well. The place was very clean when we got there. Communication was great with homeowner/manager. It is a great house, well-appointed with: -Top notch access to beach -Elevator -Pool table -Hot tub -In ground pool -Good kitchen with lots of space and pots and pans -Large dining table -Quiet reading room -Large decks -Appreciate that it is dog friendly -Beach chairs are there but getting to the end of their life -Tons of boogie boards -Very helpful beach wheelbarrow to get the stuff down and back

Wonderful beach house!

Thank you! We had a wonderful time. My partner and I had a wonderful time at this gorgeous, welcoming beach house. Over a weekend, our grown grandchildren and young grandchildren visited - and everyone had a ball! Highly recommend this great place.

Great house with lots of amenities

Very large house, all rooms are a good size and enough bathrooms that we didn’t have to share. House was very clean and in good condition. Pool and hot tub were so nice to have on site. The elevator made it easy to get everything in and out of the house. Large kitchen with everything you need. Sitting room off the kitchen was great to read, play a game or do a puzzle. We had fun playing pool in the basement too. To get to the ocean it’s a .1 walk on a path over dune, house has a nice big wheeled cart to get everything out in one trip. Also has chairs and other beach items there to use. Outside shower and foot cleaner makes it easy to get the sand off. Also speaking of sand the house somehow didn’t have sand everywhere inside which is not normally the case at a house on the beach. Lots of tvs and internet worked well. Great owner that is very helpful and answers questions super fast. Highly recommended this as a great vacation rental!!

Wonderful!!!

We had a great week at Joannes place. We communicated many times and she answered all my questions promptly. The property was clean and the layout of the house is perfect for large groups. The beds were comfortable and the elevator was a life saver! The views were better than pictured and the trek to the beach over the dunes wasnt bad at all. We highly recommend and hope to return to this lovely home!

Generally a nice home!

Stayed at besito Del Mar with my family for a week. The outdoor facilities are well thought through and the kids had a great time at the pool. We could not use the upper deck much because it needs repairs and didn’t feel safe with small kids out there. Some bug issues inside. Be sure to take your own water, there is no filtered water on the property. The host was great, let us check in a little early and park the vehicle.

Interior excellent exterior not so much

The ocean ,weather and interior accommodation were great. The surrounding neighborhood of Salvo needs a facelift could use some nicer restaurants.
