I was sitting at the reception waiting for the manager to complete my bill when one part waiters offered me a cup of coffee, which I accepted. I didn’t ask for it, but I thought it was a nice gesture only to find I was charged 7 1/2 pounds for it. That was frustrating "

"We switched to this hotel at the last minute, and it turned out to be a good decision. The hotel is relatively new and modern, and the location is excellent. The room was surprisingly quiet even though the hotel is across from the train station. We wanted to sit in the lounge on the 7th floor, but wine purchase was required, so we decided not to stay there. The staff was polite, although they could have been a bit warmer. The foam pillows were also not very comfortable though."

"Amazing spot right near the castle. We loved everything about this apartment. The only downside was doing a load of washing as the washer dryer goes for about 5 hours so we had to take wet clothes to our next destination. I’d suggest to the owner buying a dryer on its own. Apart from that it was perfect"

"We were met with a very friendly concierge who was on site everyday and helped with every need we had (we didn't have many) The room was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable The location of the apartment building was brilliant for us to take in the ambience of Edinburgh while providing a safe and quiet area for relaxation and sleep"
