Rydal Cottage is the perfect couples retreat renovated and tastefully restored into a cosy country hideaway. The cottage is centrally located in the village on a large 2 acre entry 1 Ford Street Rydal

The historic township is set in a picturesque valley only a short distance from many of the fascinating towns in the area.
A sleepy little village where the local pub is the focal point for both locals and visitors and many a yarn is shared.

Rydal Cottage weekend stay

Great kitchen and bathroom facilities, cozy and warm with great fireplace, lovely big garden. Fantastic place for a couple to get away for a quiet stay, and bonus our dog could come along too.

Absolutely divine! I was looking for a peaceful writing retreat and that's exactly what I got! The history of the cottage was what drew me in but the way it has been lovingly restored was gorgeous. The heated bathroom floor and beautiful claw foot bath were amazing. The bed extremely comfortable and the fire was very much used on the chilly nights. A well equipped kitchen.The gardens were beautiful and peaceful to walk around and sitting in the afternoon winter sun was magic. The perfect, peaceful getaway! Highly recommend!

Great weekend I was there 4 years ago with my dog we done a lot of hiking, I’ve wanted to go back and i did this weekend with my dog It’s a great cottage it’s in a beautiful setting, it really is a lovely place to visit in winter. I really enjoyed the open fire inside the cottage. I hope to get back again one day.

Wonderful peaceful stay

Loved the cottage and the grounds. Everything was easy. All amenities suitable. The location is quiet for those looking to get away from the city bustle. Carol the host is very helpful. Doggo loved frolicking through the lovely secure grounds.

Mini break with our furkids

A mini break for us and able to bring our dogs along was great. We enjoyed the cozy home and the wonderfully peaceful garden. Amazing butterflies and bird life, late summer flowers and beautiful trees and shrubs. Perfect!

Lovely Cottage

A lovely cosy cottage surrounded by tranquil gardens with everything you could need. The fire was set up for us, the kitchen had what we needed. Great location for a romantic weekend away. highly recomended. Michael & Virginia

Cozy Cottage

A very enjoyable stay in a cozy cottage, ideal for couples as it is located some 15 minutes from Lithgow and an easy drive to Katoomba, the heart of the Blue Mountains. The gardens and wildlife surrounding the cottage are spectacular.

Peaceful oasis

Carol's cottage is a serene escape which perfect for us and our 3 dogs. Her property is fully fenced with lots of space to run around while admiring her gorgeous gardens. She was also a wonderful and prompt communicator. Thank you Carol!!

Lovely Cosy Cottage

We enjoyed another fabulous weekend at Rydal Cottage. The Cottage is cosy, warm and beautifully decorated. It was a perfect getaway for a cold winter weekend and we enjoyed drinks in front of the fire in the evenings and early morning walks in the village with our dog Monty. Quiet country getaway

The cottage is cosy, roomy and comfortable and nestled in a small village at the end of a country lane. We enjoyed the gardens, hedges, gravel drive, jonquils and grevillea in bloom. It was great to breathe the fresh, wintry country air and be far enough away from nearby towns to enjoyed a complete change of pace. We would happily stay again.

Wonderful stay

This is a little gem of a place! Such a beautiful cottage and a serene garden. Our dogs travelled with us and absolutely enjoyed the lovely garden. We had the best time! Carol is a fantastic host and was so accommodating to us and our dogs.

Fantastic little country getaway

Great location in the heart of the blue mountains. Peaceful and cosy cottage just what you need to get away from the city. Host very good communication, super clean place with all the comforts to stay warm including a great open fireplace! Good pub near by. Would reccomend!

Perfect hideaway

Wonderful petite cottage just right for a lovely relaxing escape. Our fur baby loved it the most I think taking full advantage of the safe expansive gardens and the toasty warm nights in front of the roaring log fire. Highly recommended

Cosy cottage

Carol’s place was great! The cottage was super cosy especially with the fireplace. Our dog loved exploring the big garden and it was great knowing the whole area was secure for him to zoom around. Will definitely be back for our next trip to the mountains!
